I'm very sorry it has come to this, and yes there is two sides to every storyAnd Mr [redacted] is not being very truthfulLet me start by explaining I DID NOT do any, again any transmission services or repairs ! He brought his car to me with a "check engine " light on and ask me to fix itThen since the car was here and the repairs were minor he had asked me to do a "service", which entails engine oil and filter, air filter, cabin filter, tire rotation, brake inspection, battery test, check and fill fluids and overall check up.(which includes a test drive) After driving the car I explained to him there was a loud grinding noise and I should check it outSo, I asked him to leave the car over nightHe agreed to thatWhat I found was a transmission more than half emptySo at NO COST at all to him labor or Fluid I put in over quart of the required fluid( the Transmission only holds quarts) Now its unfortunate what has happen just days later but, it does happenI asked him to come down to the shop so I could show him what had happenedInternal failure from lack of lubrication!! When he came down he refused to look at the car, he just took some personal belongings out or the car and left However I never gave him a price of to repair, sorry but that's a lie along with the "minor transmission repairs" (you can see on the invoice) he said I didI gave him a quote of approxfor a brand new from Mini dealer transmission and I was including a new clutch since it was outAlso I offered, at NO charge to him disassembling the transmission and see if I could fix it for a reasonable price (or less), and if I couldn't then I would give him the money he was offered by the highest bidder salvage yardWhat more can I do ? Now, I have included copies of the bill and my response letter to merchant services, also a picture of the fill plug( not the drain plug) the fill plug which is covered in metal shavingI showed this to him the day he picked up his carHe had also called a local transmission shop asking for advice and they told him to leave the car with ***, he's very honest and very knowledgeable of Mini coopersFYI transmission failure is one of the biggest problems with Min's ! Thank you [redacted] Owner/operator Alpha European auto [redacted]

I'm very sorry it has come to this, and yes there is two sides to every story. And Mr. [redacted] is not being very truthful. Let me start by explaining I DID NOT do any, again any transmission services or repairs ! He brought his car to me with a "check engine " light on and ask me to fix...

it. Then since the car was here and the repairs were minor he had asked me to do a "service", which entails engine oil and filter, air filter, cabin filter, tire rotation, brake inspection, battery test, check and fill fluids and overall check up.(which includes a test drive) After driving the car I explained to him there was a loud grinding noise and I should check it out. So, I asked him to leave the car over night. He agreed to that. What I found was a transmission more than half empty. So at NO COST at all to him labor or Fluid I put in over 1 quart of the required fluid. ( the Transmission only holds 1.7 quarts)  Now its unfortunate what has happen just 2 days later but, it does happen. I asked him to come down to the shop so I could show him what had happened. Internal failure from lack of lubrication!!  When he came down he refused to look at the car, he just took some personal belongings out or the car and left.  However  I never gave him a price of 6000. to repair, sorry but that's a lie along with the "minor transmission repairs" (you can see on the invoice) he said I did. I gave him a quote of approx. 4350.00 for a brand new from Mini dealer transmission and I was including a new clutch since it was out. Also I offered, at NO charge to him disassembling the transmission and see if I could fix it for a reasonable price (2500. or less), and if I couldn't then I would give him the money he was offered by the highest bidder salvage yard. What more can I do ?
Now, I have included copies of the bill and my response letter to merchant services, also a picture of the fill plug( not the drain plug) the fill plug which is covered in metal shaving. I showed this to him the day he picked up his car. He had also called a local transmission shop asking for advice and they told him to leave the car with [redacted], he's very honest and very knowledgeable of Mini coopers. FYI transmission failure is one of the biggest problems with Min's !
