Review: I had several home cleanings from Alpha Living. They send a representative to clean your apartment. It is not a dry cleaners. This worked for a while. I had been satisfied and so I had booked in advance an extra package of three cleanings on 8/**/12 for $107.79 which was charged to my Master Card. Meanwhile, I was using a similar package I had bought thru Groupon. They had once stood me up and when this happened a second time I told them I no longer wanted to use their service and asked for a refund of the completely unused package noted here. I was told they would refund the money but could not refund it to the Master card I paid on. Instead they would refund it to Paypal. My email address with Paypal is different than the one I use with Alpha Living. My Paypal address is [redacted]. I informed them of this and when I called to follow up I was told there were delays. I believe that was back in April. My refund never came. In addition this company normally does not pick up the phone and they ignore voicemails and emails. I told them more than once that I would contact the Revdex.com if they were not forthcoming.Desired Settlement: Refund to my credit card is preferred. If it was accepted as payment it should be the method of refund. It appears that the Paypal refund didn't work out.
Review: Prior to contacting Alpha Living, my girlfriend received a promotional email from the company offering a 5-hour house/apartment cleaning for $99.00 (I can forward the email upon request). After considering this (apparent) good deal, I called Alpha Living several times with the intention of scheduling a cleaning of my apartment. After a few tries and no answer, I decided to leave a message instructing them to call me back. A few hours later, the company returned my call and I scheduled an appointment for 9:00am the following morning - the date of the appointment was July **, 2013. While on the call, I was told I would receive a confirmation email and text message prior to the appointment. However, I did not receive either, and, sure enough, when I returned from work on Tuesday my apartment had not been cleaned. I checked with my doorman and was informed that no one from Alpha Living ever showed up. Additionally, while on the aforementioned call, I provided my debit card information, which the company then used to charge me immediately (July **, 2013). That evening (Tuesday, July **, 2013), and the following morning, I attempted to call the company to voice my complaint. Once again, no one picked up the phone and I had to leave a message telling them to call me back. I also sent a couple of emails, detailing my disappointment, to the email address provided on the company's website - the company later confirmed that it had received them. I received a call from the company the following day. While on the call, I explained that my appointment was time sensitive and that I had no reason to reschedule it (in fact, I had hired another company to complete the job, in the meantime). Additionally, I requested a refund since the company had now charged me while providing no service. The individual on the phone stated that the refund should be processed within 3-4 business days. While today is the fourth day he referenced, based on customer reviews I have read online, I have no expectation of getting my money back without filing this complaint.Desired Settlement: $500.00 refund applied to my debit card $99.00 refund of original charge $401.00 for inconvenience and opportunity cost
