MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO ALPHORN FORD IN MONROE WI TO BUY A 2002 WORK TRUCK, IT IS DEISEL, AND ALSO HAS A SALVAGE TITLE, WHICH THE MY HUSBAND AND I WERE OKAY WITH AND THAT WAS THE FIRST THING THE SLAESMAN TOLD MY HUSBAND. I COME IN THAT NIGHT (3/10/15) TO SIGN PAPERS EVERYTHING WAS GOOD TO GO, WE FINANCED IT THROUGH WELLSFARGO BANK, AND WE WERE OFFERED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, SO WE ACCEPTED THAT. GOOD THING WE DID B/C 2 DAYS LATER THE EXHAUSTED WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE FIXED THEN THE END OF MARCH WE HAD TO TAKE IT BACK TO BE FIXED AGAIN THEY HAD IT FOR A WEEK THIS TIME, MIND YOU MY HUSBAND IS NOW OUT OF A WORK TRUCK. WE FINALLY GET IT BACK AND GO ABOUT OUR LIFE. WELL ON 4/6/15 I GET HOME FROM WORK AND HAVE A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM A DIFFERENT CREDIT UNION, SAYING I WAS DENIED FOR A LOAN, I WAS VERY UPSET AND THINKING THAT SOMEONE HAD GOTTEN AHOLD OF MY INFORMATION, SO I CALL THIS CREDIT UNION AND THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION SINCE NO LOAN OFFICER WAS IN THE OFFICE. SO I DECIDED TO CALL ALPHORN AND JUST SEE IF IT WAS SOMETHING THEY DID, SURE ENOUGH I SPOKE W/ [redacted] AND HE STATED THAT WELLS FARGO HAD RETURNED OUR LOAN B/C THEY TOLD THEM IT WAS "REBUILT" TITLE AND NOT A SALVAGE TITLE. SO NEEDLES TO SAY HE WAS JUST RUNNING LOAN APPS W/ OUT MY CONSENT AND THAT I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT (IT ALSO DROPPED MY CREDIT SCORE 4 POINTS WHICH MADE ME VERY UPSET) ANYWAY SO I ASKED WELL WHAT ABOUT OUR FIRST PAYMENT THAT IS DUE ON 4/23/15. HE SAID THERE WAS NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT A PAYMENT AT THIS TIME B/C WE HAVE NO FINANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALMOST 2 MONTHS LATER YOU TELL ME THIS. HE STATED ONCE HE FOUND OUT SOME INFO HE WOULD CALL US BACK. HE FINALLY CALLED BACK ON 4/9/15 AND STATED THE HE FOUND A CREDIT UNION TO EXCEPT THE LOAN AND THE INTEREST RATE IS LOWER BUT ITS OLY A 3 YEAR LOAN...NO BIGGIE RIGHT!!? THEN HE GOSE TO TELL US HE CAN NO LONGER OFFER US THE EXTENDED WARRANTY??? MY HUSBAND AND I WANTED THAT DEF ON A SALVAGE TRUCK. WE ASKED WHY IT WAS OFFERED TO US IN THE FIRST PLACE, AND HE STATED HE WAS UNAWRE THAT IT WAS ASALVAGE TRUCK ( EVEN THOUGH THAT WAS THE FIRST THING THE SALESMAN TOLD MY HUSBAND) AND THAT THEY CANNOT OFF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ON A SALVAGE TRUCK. NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS WAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER! WE ARE ALSO RETURNING THE TRUCK TO THEM THIS MORNING AND WILL NEVER BE PURCHASING ANY KIND OF CAR/TRUCK FROM THEM AGAIN. NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!

Review: I bought a 2001 Ford Ranger Truck from this dealer. The windshield was cracked when I purchased it & I was told it would be scheduled for replacement the next week, that never happened. I began having issues of the vehicle smoking and smelling of burning oil.....So I went through my paperwork to find I didn't receive a copy of the safety inspection. I went back to the dealership & received a copy of it to find many non legal issues checked with the vehicles. The sheet was signed, but not by myself NOR MY SIGNITURE!!!!

I met with the Manager, as well as my friend who sold me the vehicle who has been trying to help me with this situation since problems arose. He was told the work order for my windshield was cancelled the minute I drove off the lot, he was sent home from work for printing myself the safety inspection sheet.Desired Settlement: I would like to return the vehicle and receive my $3200 in return, for I never would've purchased the vehicle if I had known of all the issues on the safety inspection sheet. The safety inspection sheet was NEVER shown to me, a copy given to me, nor signed by myself. The document was forged by someone at the dealership.

To whom it may concern,

Ms. [redacted] purchased the 2001 Ford Ranger on March 15,2014. At that time she signed all the necessary paperwork to consummate the deal including two documents stating that the vehicle was sold AS IS with no warranty owed or implied. I checked the documentation for anything owed to the customer, there was no notation that there was a windshield owed to the customer. Which was also signed by Mrs. [redacted]. The first time I ever spoke to Mrs. [redacted] about the vehicle was Wednesday morning the 16th of April. Over a month after her purchase. I asked her salesperson if he had told her that she was owed a windshield and he said no, also in accordance to the paperwork. Mrs. [redacted] stated to me that "she was having head gasket problems." I asked Mrs. [redacted] how she knew that, and she stated that she had the vehicle at another dealership and that is what they told her. I asked her why we had not looked at the vehicle. She had no answer. I still offered to look at the vehicle even though the vehicle has been out of my control and not looked at by one of my certified mechanics. She declined and just demanded that I" just take the vehicle back." I would like to help Mrs. [redacted] out, but have not been offered a chance to do so. She was aware that she brought the vehicle AS IS at the time of purchase. I would once again be happy to look at Mrs. [redacted]s vehicle, if offered the opportunity. I asked my finance manager about the signature on the buyers guide. She stated she witnessed Mrs. [redacted] sign the buyers guide. Alphorn Ford as always, would like to find a reasonable resolution to this matter.

With kind regards,

General Manager

I went to this dealership with interest in looking at a vehicle. The sales representative asked me to fill out an application for a specific vehicle. As someone who uses very little credit I ask to be assured that my credit would only be ran once as I understand the implications of my information being 'shopped' around. I was promised that this would be the case. The sales rep came back with some numbers that didn't make sense. I asked him the interest rate and he said he didn't know, it was 'just the daily rate' I felt uncomfortable so I left. I did the math on my own and the interest rate was over 25%. My credit score was not great, but not terrible in the mid 600's. I later checked my credit report and was shocked to find my score had dropped well over 100 points all at once. I inquired and found out this dealership had trashed my credit in minutes by running a page full of hard inquiries. I can only speculate that they do this to unsuspecting customers with mid range scores to try to push their own ridiculous financing on them and trashing their credit so bad that they have no choice. I have contacted the dealership many times to rectify and the refuse to let me speak to anyone but Tony [redacted] who I found to be rude and offensive. I believe he condones or even runs this scam and that's why I am being ignored. I also contacted Fairway Ford in Freeport as well due to being under the same ownership group and received the same response. By walking into this dealership one time to look at one vehicle, my credit is trashed beyond repair for several years. Please think about this before you walk into this business!

I just moved to Monroe, WI and needed to get my oil changed. I own a Ford and so I went to the Alphorn Ford- Lincoln- Mercury to get an oil change. They seemed very friendly when I scheduled an appointment and even picked up and dropped off my car at my place of work. Before they dropped it off, one of the guys called me and said that my serpentine and fastener belt were getting worn, my fuel filter needed replacement and my ball joints were getting loose. I was told that these were problems that didn't need to be done immediately, but in the near future. The cost for parts and labor were estimated for just under $1000.00. I decided to get a second opinion and had two other mechanics look at my car. They both agreed that nothing was wrong with my car. My belts had no tears or worn spots, my fuel filter did not need to get replaced and my ball joints were not loose. I was relieved at that discovery, but also very angry that I was deceived. I'm not sure if they thought because I was a girl that I was too stupid to understand car stuff or that they just are just that incompetent. I just don't want anyone to be taken by this business, because they obviously don't care about their customers or getting future ones.
Thanks.

I was in the market for a nice used car. Was looking for Van or SUV. I had a very specific price range I wanted to stay in so I had to be very particular. I was working with Nate and Scott. I told them what I wanted and they did try to get what I wanted there for me to see and drive. Eventually I found a Envoy Denali that gave my wife and I all the options and room we wanted and it was in our price range. So we acted quickly and they brought it in for quickly. We were very pleased! When I test drove it Nate went on and on about there intense and detailed inspection process. I noticed after driving it that a fog light and a rear back up light was out. Made them aware of it and he said it would be taken care of. The next day they came and picked up my wife and brought her to get the car and finish the paper work. I asked my wife to make sure the lights were being fixed. My salesman replaced the front bulb but then told me that it was a bad socket on the back of the car and that I could just buy the part and replace it. It would be much cheaper for me to do it myself instead of the dealership doing it. I was not happy but my wife brought the car home. I was still very happy!! The next day I leave to go to work and it barely starts and then there is a loud knocking noise from the rear of the car. It did stop after a minute or so. I called to let Nate know right away. He gave me somethings to check. I checked on them and got back to him. He explained what it might be and had me bring it in. it ended up being an issue with something needing to calibrated again after a fuse or battery was replaced, but in the process we found that the fan for the rear heat was not working at all!! I have young kids so this was a huge deal. So they kept the car to do other tests and check the battery. This was on a Saturday, they kept it over the weekend for a tech to look at it Monday. Got a call on Tuesday that everything was fixed. They said they replaced the battery, replaced the socket, then I asked about the heater in the back. The tech (Dan) told me that he hadn't received approval to have that fixed. I asked to speak with Nate, he was busy so I left a message. I didn't hear back from him until after I sent and email to Tony the gm threatening to return the car and cancel the whole thing unless this was fixed. Then Nate called me to say they were fixing it. So 2 weeks into owning my car I had only driven it twice. They finally called to say it was all done and I could pick it up. I asked since I had tons of issues if they could fill my car with gas. Both Nate, and Scott said it would be taken care of. Which I appreciate since it was supposed to snow like crazy that night and I would have my kids. I just wanted to jump in and get home so I could try and miss the storm. I get there to pick it up and there is ZERO gas in the car. I get my kids loaded up and start to drive across the street to get gas. Mind you at this point there is 6+ inches of snow on the ground. I actually ran out of gas pulling into the gas station. Thank god I was able to coast into the pump. I got gas and then drove home. After all this I received an email from Dan the Tech, Nate and the GM asking if I was satisfied. I was not and I made them aware of that. Well I got a call from the Sales Manager asking me to call him back. So I emailed him and called... go figure never got a call back. I then emailed and called Tony... wow go figure no call or email back. Then I got an email asking me to please share my positive experience and leave a review. The only positive part was them getting what I want there and oh giving my kids each a balloon while they ran our credit work. Other than that what a joke. Since then I have successfully steered multiple people away from buying from this dealership. AVOID THIS PLACE!! I BET NOW THAT I LEAVE THIS REVIEW MAYBE THE GM WILL WANNA CALL ME NOW. CLASSLESS PLACE AND HORRIBLE SERVICE ONCE YOU START TO CALL THEM OUT FOR THERE MISTAKES!!
To update this: My car had been running great. As the weather started to decline and get slippery with snow, my stabilitrack system would kick on and off. Sometimes as I would take off from a stop sign or stop light it would kick on then say service stabilitrack . Once I restarted the car it would go off. I also have air ride in the back and the compressor stopped kicking on to level out the car so it was riding roughly. With the negative experience I had before I did not wanna deal with Alphorn again. But when starting the claim it said to start by going to the dealership in which you purchased the car. So I did that just to make sure I was going by what I heard and saw online. (This was just a mileage warranty) I called and made an appointment to bring it in. My appointment was for Tuesday. Monday afternoon, the service manager calls me and tells me that the GM wanted him to contact me to say that due to the review I left he was refusing my service and told me to take my business elsewhere. If I had any questions to call him or the GM back. I did that and talked to the service manager. He told me that he was kinda just thrown into this, so I asked to speak to the GM. He just happened to be on the phone and not available. So the service manager told me that with this type of warranty I could take it anywhere. I told him I just wanted to make sure I was going about this the right way to make sure all repairs were covered and I thanked him for his time. I then emailed the GM and told him thank you for re-enforcing why I left the poor review that I did. Most GM's would see this as an opportunity to right the ship and leave a better impression. Instead I was called dishonest and told that Alphorn has a wonderful reputation in the city and they don't deal with dishonest people. And that he could do business or not do business with whom ever he wanted to. So basically, he was mad that I didn't give his dealership or employees the review he liked so he was gonna take his ball and go home. Which is fine, I called and made an appointment with another dealership and let them know what happened to me there and they said you aren't the first and were glad to help me. I should have read the complaints on here before purchasing through them. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP LIKE THE PLAGUE! They are the dishonest ones
