Contacted Alpine Appliance to diagnose and fix problem with gas cooktopCooktop was functional but was making clicking noiseTechnician came to my house on 2/and proceeded to take apart cooktopHe then said he couldn't fix and put it back together and he leftThen when my husband and I went to use it the next morning we noticed that one of the knobs was out of alignment, very crookedRight after that we turned it on and the whole cooktop exploded in a huge yellow orange flame almost burning my husbandWe immediately shut it off and contacted the techAfter numerous calls owner still hasn't done anything other than saying he would order partsWe got a second opinion and that company said Alpine tech broke my cooktop and it would be costly to repair nowHe said original problem was just a sensor and would have been a simple fix
