Alpine Creek Apartments

Avoid moving into these apartments at all costs. The complex is now known as Alpine Creek, one of at least 3 name changes since I moved in in 2011. The complex has gone through at least 5 managment companies. I was this close to moving into another complex until the management here told them lies about my rental history and history as a tenet. Was told by the manager of the new complex that I was trying to move into that I had many, many lease violations, had bad rental history and that they wouldn't take an application from me and wouldn't lease to me again. When the manager at the new complex was told that they were going to deny my application because of what this management said, this management then turned around and "said that they would change what they said and do anything to get them to approve my application." That is unscrupulous business practices and proves that management will lie. First of all when you have a lease violation, you are supposed to be told of the violation to try to correct it, and I nor my husband have ever been given any paperwork or told of any lease violation that we have. Secondly, I have a lease receipt from the time that we moved in (2011) until 2014 and in those three years we were late on our rent only twice. Thirdly, if we had so many lease violations and were such bad tenets, why did the same management renew our lease last year and why haven't we been evicted? Fourthly, this management told them that I have only been living here since 2013, when I have lived here since 2011. I believe that I am being retaliated against because I speak when I believe management is in the wrong and am not afraid to contact corporate when I need to about management. Management thinks that they can do anything because a lot of people don't know about consumer protection laws, renter's rights and other laws that protect tenets from being taken advantage of. I am not one of those. I know my rights and the laws and am going to be fully taking advantage of my rights by contacting my lawyer.
