Review: Upon entering the room, the door was propped open, after sweeping the room for safety we realized how cold it was. The thermostat read 55 deg in the room and the propane wall heater was not working (also no visible carbon monoxide detector). After contacting the staff a gentleman looked at the heater, said it was working and that it was the best heater they had. After a cold and sleepless night, I got up to leave and the thermostat read 49 degrees. Upon checkout, I informed the lady of the temperature and that we had asked the night before to have the heat work. She said "ok" and that we should have asked for a floor heater (we were not given that option the night prior). I stated that the room was not worth the 100 dollars and that there should be some refund or correction and she waved her hand at me as if to shoo me away. She was unapologetic and after further investigation via internet reviews, other's had this same experience. It is unsafe for the consumer for a business to operate without heat, or a carbon monoxide detector (with a wall propane heater) and run off of floor/space heaters, especially in the winter. I stayed the night of January 31, 2015 in room 201. It was in the low 30's that night.Desired Settlement: I would hope that corrective action be taken towards the Inn due to the safety concern of propane heating without carbon monoxide detectors, the use of supplemental floor heaters and the complete disregard for the cold temperatures. I am requesting a refund for the room due to not receiving the service of a warm room which my purchase should have included.
