Alpine Meadows Apartments Reviews (%countItem)

When my Husband and I moved in May of 2018 we were expecting our first child and signed a lease for a 2 bedroom unit with patio storage. In January of 2019 our storage unit located on the patio was taken away and we had no choice but to store our excess items in the second bedroom. Our rent was not adjusted, nor were we given a proper explanation as to why. They altered the lease agreement by eliminating square footage. Also we signed a 12 month lease and they snuck in an extra month which we stayed the lease length including the additional month even though we were paying an exorbitant amount in rent. They have not only kept our 2 pet deposits not to mention our $200.00 totaling $1,000.00 which would have been more than enough to cover any carpet shampooing, a professional cleaner not to mention the 2 months of utilities that they are charging us after we have already moved. These are erroneous charges and I hope that they are investigated, if you read the google reviews they have done this to so many of the tenants who have lived there. My hope is to be excused of the $200.00 that they are charging us and have sent to a collection firm. I am asking out of desperation, we were great tenants in our 13 months there we stayed our lease even though we could no longer afford it and have spent all of our savings just to live there. I can't let them take another dime from my family we work too hard and we are good people who deserve a fair shake since we have had a terrible dealing with Alpine Meadows I am begging you please do something about this agency, thank you.

The lease agreement that was signed by both parties was an electronic signature. All residents had ample time to review each page, and are required to initial each page of the document. The lease term of May 12, 2018 to May 31, 2019 is clearly listed on the front page of the lease agreement and is in bold lettering. All residents receive a utility bill in the mail from UBWest (Utility Billing West) that clearly states the usage periods and the due dates for the usage of water, sewer, trash, and CAM (Common Area Maintenance). The first utility bill for this resident was due with July 2018's rent, this was approximately back dated by two months. The usage period was clearly stated at the top of said bill for the usage dates of May 12, 2018 to May 31, 2018. The resident paid a non-refundable lease initiation fee of $200.00, this is clearly stated on the front page of the signed lease agreement. The pet deposit was $200.00, with a non-refundable pet fee of $400.00. This too is clearly marked on the signed lease agreement at the top of page #22. The refundable portion of the $200.00 pet deposit was applied to the final deposit disposition. We attempted to work with the residents multiple times to resolve the balance owing before submitting their account to our attorneys. Thank you.

Again I just have to state that the storage closet was something that was part of the tour and lease agreement, for additional storage. It was presented during the tour and advertised on your former website. We were never given any detailed information that it was deemed a fire hazard, yes we were given time to clean it out which was completed in the time given, maintenance never showed up on the date that was assigned to our unit. Because of your staff's inability to stick to the schedule, we were assigned a threatening letter that they would be coming around again and if the storage closet wasn't cleaned out it would result in a $200.00 fine. As for trying to settle the balance and the conversation there was never any sort of conversation as to a payment plan. I just want the entire memory to go away of Alpine Meadows it was a very long and horrible years experience, we don't owe you another dime and I will be encouraging other reviewers to submit complaints as well to the Revdex.com. Good Day.
