Review: My dental practice, and the street sign outside of it, was badly damaged in a tornado on June 1, 2012. After a recommendation from my general contractor for a new street sign, I met with [redacted] at Alpine Signs in August of 2012. Alpine provided me with a proposal and contract for a customized cabinet sign and digital reader board to be completed by our re-opening date on December 16, 2012. The cabinet (the main part of the sign) wasn't installed until late January; and was done so using recycled parts. The proposal and contract specified brushed metal posts; instead we were given old, scratched posts that were simply re-painted black. The digital reader board wasn't delivered until July 2013; approximately 8 months behind schedule. During this time, Alpine failed to return almost all phone calls inquiring about the delay. To this date, October 22, 2013, the reader board still does not work. Alpine has sent out technicians over 5 times to repair it, all to no avail. They continue to blame the LED company that provided them with the reader board; as if it is my fault they use this third party vendor. It has almost been an entire year since I was promised a sign, and I still do not have a functioning product. My business is dependent on advertising and is hurting because of Alpine Sign's negligence and poor product. I provided Alpine Signs with a certified letter requesting a refund, but was refused.Desired Settlement: I am asking that I get refunded fully for the digital reader board, since it has never worked and was delivered 10 months late; and be partially (25%) refunded for the main sign, since it was delivered late, incorrectly (wrong posts), and with refurbished parts.

The contractually agreed upon price of the reader board = $6,338.50

The contractually agreed upon price of the main cabinet = $12,211.50

Total owed with tax = $18,550.00

Already paid to Alpine Signs = $12,852.88

Total Refund desired = $3,052.87 (25% of main sign) + $641.33 (difference between what we have paid thus far and the price of the main sign) = $3694.20
