Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Hi There, part of Alpine Surgical's response is correct; the remainder is notWe specifically requested to discuss the risks of mesh and were told specifically "there are no risks with mesh" and was further advised to send an email to the doctor if we wanted to and he would address our concerns at that time First, why would the doctor lie and note that there are no risks when they are well documented? This would leave him open for a lawsuit Second, yes, they did offer an onsite, billable meeting to discuss our concerns, after they brushed out concerns under the rug initially and after much follow up on my part to the emailWhy couldn't we disucss this over the phone unless it was to bill us furhter? Third, my husband called and addressed the billing and was told that they couldn't refund the money only because they had already billed insuranceWhy? Would this be an ommission that they did not provide adequate care? In my opinion, the doctor has been negligentIf this was merely an issue of we wanted a second opinion, I would not have created a Revdex.com caseThis case was created because the doctor would not discuss the risk specifically related to mesh I understand that if the business is not willing to offer a refund, the case will still be closedI will proceed with a [redacted] case and also submit the information to our insurance provider at that pointThis type of behaviour is just not acceptable and puts patients at riskIt should be the patient's decision to proceed with known risks rather than the doctor not disclosing information Melissa

First, why would the doctor lie and note that there are no risks when they are well documented? This would leave him open for a lawsuit.

It should be the patient's decision to proceed with known risks rather than the doctor not disclosing information.
