Review: I hired [redacted] to find and fix the source of leaks in bedroom and kitchen windows, and paid it over $1000 for the work. When the rains first came in November, the leak in the kitchen returned. I emailed and called [redacted], but received no response. When it started raining again in late January/early February, the leak returned again. I called and emailed [redacted] several times. Again, I have received no response.Desired Settlement: [redacted] needs to come back, find the source of the leak, and fix it, or else pay the cost of having someone else do this work.

Response:

We patched Mr [redacted] leaking windows between rain storms in November 2012. We worked on 6 windows and added caulking. We instructed Mr [redacted] that this as just a temporary repair and the original installation was defective. To repair correctly, the windows would have to be completely removed and re-installed with proper flashing techniques. We advised him to contact the original window installation company for possible warranty work. Evidently, the windows worked fine for approx 1-1/2 years and Mr [redacted] neglected to contact the original installer as was suggested. In addition, Mr [redacted], never completed payment to us for our work.
