Our problem was that when we called Roth roofing to complain about a
gushing leak I was told that they cannot inspect the problem before 3-4 weeks. Any
impartial observer understands that we cannot let our tenant with small
children live 3-4 weeks with a serious leak (it wasn't merely leaking, it was gushing
water) with mold and major damage to the apartment. We were forced to hire and
pay a new roofer $3200 to fix the leak. Roth Roofing has made a mockery of
their so called "warranty". That they claim they showed up on 3/**
(after they saw our complain on Revdex.com....) is untrue and would not is meaningless
after they said they will inspect it only after 3-4 weeks. In short - giving a warranty
on a roof cannot mean that they will inspect the roof 3-4 weeks after a
customer reports a major leak.

Customer called 3/*/14 to report a roof leak. We were overbooked with service calls due to the many storms this season, and the earliest we were able to check out the problem was on 3/**/14. When we arrived...

the customer refused to allow us access to their roof to determine the cause of the leak.

At the time this customer called our office, there had been a severe rainstorm, which resulted in our office being flooded with calls for service. The call volume was 20 times that of an average day. Many of these callers...

were under warranty, and we scheduled our crews to check out their roofs on a first call, first serve basis. With such a high call volume, it is not possible for us to get to all callers within 24 hours.
In addition, in the days following the storm our area was hit by sub-zero degree weather which made it dangerous for our employees to be working on roofs. There was a legal holiday during that time as well when our employees did not work. Given the circumstances, we feel it is reasonable that this customer's roof was checked out several days after they called in.

To reiterate, our phone records show one phone call from this customer in the month of March 2014, on 3/*/14. The customer left a message reporting a leak.
Our [redacted] returned the customer’s call on 3/*/14 and advised them that we would schedule a crew at the earliest availability to check out the problem.
We promptly scheduled our workers at the earliest available slot, which was 3/**/14 due to the inclement weather.
When we showed up at the scheduled time, the customer denied us access so we were unable to determine if the necessary repairs were covered by our warranty.

Review: We had a roof leak in Oct 2010 Roth roofing recommended we redo the back 8 feet of roof including changing the roof joist, they gave us a 10 year guarantee in writing cost $5,000.00 Forward Feb 2014 and the roof is leaking heavily (gushing water, roof was not leveled properly and standing water caused roof to rupture and lots of water to come gushing in living area) I called them knowing that I have a guarantee happy to have paid more to have it. Turns out they can take a look at the problem but only in 3-4 weeks. I was shocked! We have a serious leak and everything is getting damaged, we cant wait 4 weeks. I explained, tried to plead and begged but they held firm, they will not come see the problem let alone fix it before 3-4 weeks. I had no choice but to call another roofer which told me the t job Roth roofing did is substandard. I had to pay again to redo the roof.Desired Settlement: We had to pay another roofer $3200 to fix the leak. this is the amount I feel is fair fro Roth roofing to refund us.
