In response to his original complaint, I apologized to the customer for his inconveniences.  I explained to him that we could not refund any monies he paid to other companies. I explained that I had spoken with corporate personnel and this was the best we could do. I confirmed the proper information needed for him to get a refund on the monies he paid to our company.  The refund is in the form of a check that will be sent to the address he provided to me when we spoke. Best regards,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:When we spoke you told me that you would refund the $40 for the deposit, and would speak to management regarding the money for the shoes and someone would contact me back. This has never happened. I explained that I am absolutely owed this money. Since your company did not provide me with what I rented and was necessary for the wedding, I had to purchase shoes at the closest store since your employee didnt call me to pick up the items until it was almost time for the wedding. When I realized that he had made a mistake and given me the wrong shoes and had missing items, I went back up to the store and there was no one there. There was no other option. When your mistake makes a bride cry on her wedding day, I have to fix it any way I can.  Al's had all day to fix the problem and didn't. In fact your employee lied to me multiple times telling me that the correct items had been ordered.  I was even missing the pocket square. I had to buy that too. I cant be the only one in a wedding that is different. That distracts from the couple. It is their day. Please accept responsibility for all of the problems your company caused me and this wedding. I would have been more than happy to wear your items, but Al's messed up and put me in a corner. I could buy the items necessary to fix the salesman's mistake, or distract from the bride and ruin all of the pictures. This shouldn't even be an issue. I was told by that salesman when I complained the next day to contact management and that all would be taken care of. He told me that after what happened, there was no reason that management wouldn't credit me for the shoes. I have been sending emails since April. This is now August. It took all this time and a Revdex.com complaint for Al's formal wear to even respect me enough to respond. Please do the right thing. Its not much money for a large company, but that was more money than I have and I have been struggling without it for far too long. Thank you.

I spoke with the complainant and apologized for any inconveniences he incurred during his business with Al’s Formal Wear.  I told him we would refund any monies he paid to the company but unfortunately could not refund any monies he paid to any other businesses.  We hope everyone leaves...
