Response to a complaint by [redacted] .  He clearly has his own version of events that took place. This is what happened , my workers were sent out to purchase items that were not included in our installation cost. My worker went out of his own pocket for items marble cus[redacted] fabricated . Trim ....

Moulding, valves and other items . Note this was all paid after from [redacted] and he was  well aware of cost which included our time plus materials we purchased.  Our time is not for free !! We had this conversation recently.  [redacted] said that he wants back 50 % . If [redacted] had a problem with the bill why did he wait 1 year to complain?  I'm very disturbed by this.  Also I am insulted by his accusations .  I gave him a great job ! We take pride in our business and communications.  Was great through the whole project !! Just because I believe in professionalism I will refund him a 10 % credit , and that is the extent of my kindness. Thank you . Manager of operations  [redacted]

This is the first I'm herring about this ! I will be happy to adjust what I need to on drain if it's a problem ! I will call this gentleman.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I asked for the invoice prior to making the final payment!  I asked for an itemized list of items purchased and cost as well as warranty info and labor cost.  I was told by the owner that in 30 years he's never provided an invoice after a job is completed.  Again, all I'm asking for is an invoice for the job that was done with an itemized list of materials including cost of materials and labor and mailed to my home.

I will contact Mike and have him come over and look at it.  Yes it was over a year before I contacted him, I explained to him that first it was the holidays, and then my husband was seriously injured and I didn't have the time for him to come over and take a look, especially after my husband was home from hospital and rehab I didn't want him to have to deal with the situation, then husband ended up back in hospital for surgery and more time went by.  The leaking of the water was happening the whole time into the garage, but we did not know where it was coming from until last week when my bathroom floor was filled with water coming out of the bottom of the toilet.  There are many other issues with the work that was done, and partially my fault for not inspecting the job very well, I just wanted them out of my house at that time with the holidays approaching and having no bathroom for 9 days.  I will talk with Mike and try to work it out with him.

I am rejecting this response because:  My complaint is not about the quality of work or the fact that additional items were purchased by [redacted] workers that were outside the scope of the signed agreement. My complaint is that I never received a detailed accounting of what was included in the $1,380 I was charged for the extras. I requested this information several times, and each time was told by [redacted] that he would work on it and get back to me. He never did. All I got from [redacted] was given verbally and included: extra insulation, the marble door and shower treads (not cus[redacted] fabricated but purchased from [redacted]), and toilet and sink shut off valves. The cost of these items is less than $200. If you add labor to install the three additional marble corner shelves in the shower, It is still under $600. If [redacted] can't give me an accurate, detailed accounting of the extra items/labor, I would like a 50% refund of the $1,380 I paid him.

Review: The business was unable to provide details for $1,380 in materials and labor they charged me that was considered outside the scope of the signed agreement. The business claimed I made a change request for electrical work. All the electrical work was documented in the signed agreement, but was never communicated properly to the electrician doing the work.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of half the amount I paid or $690.
