Review: While in the process of launching a small clothing brand I shopped around to find the best quality shirts. One of the brands I decided to purchase shirts from in order to do a test batch was Alstyle Apparel. Upon receiving the shirts I realized that one of the 5 I had purchased was actually damaged (a huge rip on the armpit seam) I contacted Alstyle and they offered to replace the shirt if I paid for return shipping ($8 shipping for a $7 shirt). I decide that I'll just drive the shirt back myself because I wanted to exchange one of the other shirts for a different color. After the exchange and replacement for the damaged shirt I take the Alstyle shirts to my screen printer along with shirts I've purchased from other manufacturers. After picking up my shirts I decide to give them a wash according to their individual wash instructions and to my surprise the entire batch of Alstyle shirts come out of their first wash with every single shirt damaged (the same armpit seam that was a problem on the original damaged shirt). I decide to call Alstyle to report this obvious flaw in the manufacturing of these shirts and the woman on the phone tells me she's sorry but that I just have received a "bad batch of shirts" my first thought is ok 5 different colors so how can they all be from the same batch. Anyway she asks me for a bunch of info so she can "figure it out and take care of it". After a couple days of no response I'm referred to another woman who forwards me an email from the quality/returns manager that's basically says the return policy is 5 days and because the items were printed and washed I had no claim. Im sorry but as anyone in the apparel manufacturing industry knows a 5-day warranty is a complete joke. Basically Alstyle has figured out a way to produce a shirt that can't even make it through a single wash cycle without completely failing yet they have no obligation to stand behind the product because it's past the 5 day deadline which is utterly ridiculous.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund or replacement for all 5 damaged shirts. They should count themselves lucky I'm not filing a complaint to recoup my lost printing costs as well. To me this is just another big business that craps on small businesses because they don't understand how the industry they do business in actually works. News flash Alstyle: If you make crappy shirts nobody will buy them to build and promote their brands.

In response to customer [redacted]'z complaint regarding thw quality of our garments and the
customer service he received in his dealings with Alstyle Apparel & Activeware.
Alstyle Apparel & Activeware prides itself on the quality of garments we produce. Our garments are
subject to rigorous testing, to ensure only the best product leaves our warehouses. We test the
garments at multipple phases in the manufacturing process, beginning with the spinning of the yarn
continuing on through the entire production process.
After reading this customer's complaint, and pulling up records of our own, it appears that we asked Mr.
[redacted] to return all the damaged products to our Anaheim, CA headquarters to examine the damage
ourselves. At this time, we have not received any other comkplaints about our products containing flaws
in the way Mr. [redacted] described. With the amount of volume we produce and ship each day, we would
expect to receive the same complaint from multiple customers. At which time we would address the
issue on a proactive manner.
There were a number of reasons why we could not offer Mr. [redacted] a blind refund for his goods. First Mr.
[redacted] placed his orders on July 12th, 22nd, and 23rd of 2013. My records show that he contacted our
customer service department regarding the complaint on November 11, 2013. As he stated, our
published return policy is within 5 days, for unprinted/untreated garments.
Mr [redacted] made some comments in his complaint that I find confusing, he states that he drove one torn
sample back down to our headquarters in Anaheim and had it replaced. my records show that we
actually shipped him one piece as a replacement to his damaged goods at no cost to him, no questions
asked, in response to his initial complaint. I have no record of a replacement in person.
Mr. [redacted], after receiving his initial replacement, complained that multiple shirts from his orders were
damaged in the same exact way. Our customer service team asked him to send damaged goods
back, for examining, and quality control. At which time he has refused to return the damaged goods to
us.
Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] purchased these goods online, where he had to agree to our purchasing terms
and conditions, including our return policies. Generally we do not issue any kind of refund for goods that
have been treated with any process, such as printing, embroidery, embellishment, wash/wear; for the
very reason that the product could have been damaged in the process of printing or embellishing that
would be out side of a manufacturing error.
At this time, we would like to offer to pay the frieght for bringing Mr. [redacted] damaged goods back to our
headquarters in Anaheim for inspection. If we find that the garments were in fact damaged in the
manufacturing process, we would address the refund or replacement of goods at that time.
