Arizona Revdex.com,In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] alleges that Alta Vista missed certain items during a home inspection that we performed for him on/about 13 NOV 14. "Due to an incomplete inspection and missed issues to the structure additional damage has occurred." The item...

that Mr. [redacted] alleges that was missed during the inspection, was actually included in the inspection report that we prepared for him (see enclosed copy of page 9, item 2.13.70). We recommended that these holes be repaired to prevent water intrusion and damage. Mr. [redacted] did not have these holes repaired. At the time of the home inspection, there were no signs of water intrusion, or damage at the interior walls in the master bathroom.On/about 09 FEB 15, Mr. [redacted] noticed evidence of water intrusion in the master bathroom of his home. He assumed that the water was from the overhead fire protection pipes, or other water pipes in the master bathroom. He contacted his home warranty company, and their technician cut holes in the drywall of the master bathroom, trying to determine the source of the water. See enclosed photos of holes in drywall. Later, Mr. [redacted] became convinced that the source of the water intrusion was a hole in the exterior wall, near the master bathroom. Mr. [redacted] contacted me on/about 16 FEB 15, regarding the holes in the exterior walls and the water intrusion. As a customer service, I went to his home the following day, and caulked all of the holes in the exterior walls. These were the same holes that were pointed out in the inspection report, page 9, item 2.13.70.I have explained to Mr. [redacted], that the source of the water intrusion may not have been the holes in the exterior walls, but rather, improper/incomplete repairs that had been made to the roof of his home. The inspection report that we provided to Mr. [redacted], noted numerous roof defects, including evidence of roof leakage. Based on our inspection report, he asked the home seller to have those issues corrected. I believe that some of those repairs have not been properly/completely finished , and that is the more likely source of the water intrusion at the master bathroom. To resolve this issue, at Mr. [redacted]'s request (as stated in his complaint #[redacted]), I have sent him a check for a full refund of the home inspection fee of $315.00. I have also refunded the amount that he paid Alta Vista for a swimming pool inspection ($50.00) and the amount that he paid Alta Vista for a termite inspection ($56.00), for a total amount of $421.00.In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] states that the amount that he paid for these services is $446.00, which is incorrect. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact me at ###-###-####, or via email at [redacted].

[redacted] from [redacted] provided the best customer service a homeowner could ask for. He went above and beyond during my two experiences and I would most certainly recommend [redacted] and [redacted] for your next home inspection service. He made it a point to assist with an issue from the storm we had in September 2014 and went the extra mile to help make sure everything was still ok. Thank you [redacted] for everything and appreciate you taking the time to ensure a client of yours is always a client even after the home is purchased.

I recently purchased a home and my real estate agent recommended Alta Vista for the home inspection. I decided to do some research before going ahead with her recommendation. At first, I was concerned about the reviews posted on some websites, by one other customer. I also checked their reviews on the [redacted] website. After reading those reviews, and considering their 100- Day Guarantee, I decided to give Alta Vista a try. I’m glad I did. I have purchased other homes in the past, and the report provided by Alta Vista was far better than any other home inspection report I have ever seen. The inspection was also more thorough than any I have experienced before. The inspector took far more time than I expected, to explain the issues that he discovered. He encouraged me to ask questions, and to call him later if I had any other questions. They saved me thousands of dollars by discovering things that the seller “forgot” to disclose about the house, like the leaky roof and the air conditioner that wasn’t working properly. I haven’t found anything that they missed during the inspection. The best part is, about a month after I moved in, the dishwasher quit working and they took care of it under their guarantee. Soon after that, the disposal started to leak and they also paid for the home warranty deductible to replace the disposal. So I got both of those items replaced for free! I highly recommend Alta Vista for your home inspection!

I had previously posted a negative review and am now revising that review based on additional interactions I have had with [redacted] from Alta Vista and the services he has provided. I had an issue where evidence of rodents was not picked up on my initial house inspection by Alta Vista and I didn’t find out about it until after closing on my house. In dealing with Alta Vista on this matter, they have been totally professional and agreed to take care of the problem without cost to myself. Their responsiveness in dealing with this issue and the service provided by this company would make me recommend them to others. Alta Vista uses Title Termite and Pest Solutions for their pest control inspections/needs and I can’t say enough about the service provided by this company and their attention to detail.

Alta Vista Inspection Services completed the home inspection for the house I was selling (hired by the buyer). After seeing the thorough and professional inspection done for my house that sold, I used Alta Vista for the house that I purchased. Alta Vista provides a report that provides a concise summary of important deficiencies and then continues with very detailed descriptions and photos of all items noted. The home inspector is very knowledgeable, patient and willing to answer all of your questions. They are an excellent choice for all of your home inspection needs.

[redacted], the employee who did the home inspection for us seems like a nice enough guy and to his credit, the inspection itself was thorough and exhaustive. But then we moved in and started finding things that didn't work; like kitchen/island outlets, the front door light even though the bulb was replaced, extremely rusted down toilet tanks to the point where the water being flushed was brown.

None of that is too big of a deal aside from the kitchen outlets not working. When I called the company I was told to contact [redacted] directly and he said he would come out and take a look himself rather than bring into the account the 100-day warranty AltaVista touts as a guarantee. I thought that was slightly odd but thought perhaps he could fix the issue himself.

Well, when he arrives I found out what his main purpose was, to relieve himself and his company of any responsibility. He started asking for dates, saying his inspection was done on this date, and asking when I had actually moved in. When did I notice the problem. Are you sure it wasn't working before this date? I had told him of a [redacted] representative that had come for a consultation who tried using the outlets and thought her printer was broken. And his response was, "can you get that in writing?" Basically he called me a liar straight to my face.

When I asked for him to call his boss to see if there's anything he could do, he went outside and I'm not sure if he even tried. Before he left he told me to check and see with my title company about the home warranty they have and ask what the deductible is. I assume it's because he didn't want to admit any sort of fault through AltaVista and if the deductible wasn't too much he implied he could possibly write a check for it.

It turns out the deductible is was only $75 but he tells me over the phone that he had checked with his boss and they can't take responsibility for it. I quickly told him that was fine because I was insulted by the whole experience and would gladly pay triple that amount not to have to talk with anyone from this company again.

Alta Vista inspectioned the home that we bought in SanTanValley last month. After we moved in, we noticed a plumbing issue that the inspector missed. When we brought the issue to the attention of the company, [redacted], the owner, really stepped up to the plate to resolve the problem. He made a couple trips to our home and fixed the problem better than it probably had been when the house was new! He also fixed a light fixture and switch that was working during the inspection, but later stopped working. All the repairs were at no charge to us as part of his company's Exclusive 100-day Home Inspection Guarantee!
We would absolutely recommend Alta Vista Inspection Service to anyone purchasing a home! They really "Walk the Talk!" Why would you use anyone else!!

My home purchase included a pre-purchase inspection by Mr. [redacted] of Alta Vista Inspection. The inspection and report were thorough. After moving in I found an outside faucet that was hidden by bushes that did not work. No water would drain from faucet when opened. I contacted Mr. [redacted] about this finding. He came to the residence on a Saturday to inspect the faucet with me. He understood what may be wrong and was able to remedy the situation on the spot. In addition, since purchase I had a water softener installed. He educated me to the fact that it should drain into the washing machine drain box in the laundry room, which did not have the plastic opening punched out. Together we remedied that situation. He provided me with helpful advice and was willing to help provide guidance if I personally instituted additional repairs. I have no qualms recommending his services.

Review: Alta Vista completed a home inspection on a piece of property I own at: [redacted] Due to an incomplete inspection and missed issues to the structure additional damage has occurred.Desired Settlement: I would either like the damage repaired of a refund on the inspection.

[redacted] who conducted our inspection was exceptional in his role. We are so happy he inspected the house. With such focus on making sure he checked everything down to the last detail, we are actually planning to use him when we sell our house in several years, so it will be accurate and crisp for the next buyer.

[redacted]s report speaks for itself in it's clarify, addressing health and safety issues of the home, and concerns about structure and making sure we walk into the house with 'open eyes'.

Bottom line: Worth every penny for the work he produces and we feel so much safer buying this house now he has inspected it.

I highly recommend Alta Vista Inspection Services. The inspection service was thorough and well presented. I had a situation where jacuzzi gas regulator went bad right after passing home inspection. The home warranty company refused to cover it stating it was a gas line issue. [redacted] the owner of Alta Vista honored his guarantee and personally fixed the regulator.
