Altech Services and Home Repair Reviews (%countItem)

Had bathroom remodel and work and followup was terrible and then owner insulted me saying I bought cheap supplies when in fact he bought supplies.
Work was completed the end of March 2019. After just a few weeks, the grout on the shower floor started crumbling. I contacted company and owner came out to look at it and said it was just air bubbles under the tile and it "happened" all the time. H sent out his worker and he dug out the areas of crumbling with a screw driver and replaced grout with his finger. A few weeks later, the same thing happened in other areas of the floor. Same procedure by worker. I have had yo have them come out several times with the same results. I contacted a tile and grout specialist and he states grout was crumbling due to poor installation and said it had to be torn out and replaced with a cost of $2155.00 I contacted Altech owner via messenger and he was rude and stated that the problem was that I had bought cheap supplies when in fact he was the one that bought the supplies. I only purchased the tile. He told me he didn't know what else he could do. After I left a bad review on his website he messaged me he would assist in honoring the workmanship. I had already told him I want reimbursed the $2155 that I am going to have to pay to get floor demolished and redone. It is plain. to see that this company is incompetent when it comes to bathroom remodel. On a side note, they did no cleanup what so ever, not even cleaning grout from tiles. I paid him $3075 via four checks for his labor and I honestly think I cold have done the job better. He was always in a rush with everything he did and it shows. After then finished I noticed several short cuts they took. I paid him for concrete board and dry wall and what he didn't use he put in his truck which was quite a bit. I reminded him that I paid for that and asked that he return it to. me. He reluctant did bring it back. I would be thrilled to speak to the media if it will help someone else not get taken advantage of like I did. I have kept all my receipts and all of his messages so if there are any more questions I would be happy to answer them. I am usually a very trusting person but this experience has taught me a very hard lesson. I feel this company is not qualified to do the kind of work that they told. me they could do.

Desired Outcome

I feel the only resolution I would except is to be reimbursed the $2155 that I will be paying a tile and grout expert to "fix" is incompetence.

We told the homeowner before work was started that she bought "cheap" materials and she insisted we use what she bought. We installed the tile with the materials she provided per the homeowners request. We do not and have not purchased any materials for her or any homeowner. We do honor our workmanship and have returned to repair the grout several times since install. The grout is coming up due to the cheap materials she bought and the chemicals she is using to clean the grout that she was advised not to use. This has nothing to do with our workmanship. We are willing within reason to assist in any way that we can however she will not be getting a refund due to her negligence. The homeowner was very happy with the completed work and thanked us for coming out free of charge to repair the grout.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Not only did the business do a terrible job on installation he lied. He knows that he told me he would purchase the supplies. I have a witness that was here the day the business owner came to my house to give an estimate. I cannot accept his comments because he knows he is wrong. It's a shame that you can't find and trust a competent contractor here. He obviously does not know how to install tile and what is even worse? Blatantly lies. Even a tile and grout expert stated in his repair estimate that the problem was. due to poor installation. I only purchased tile and the installer purchased the supplies.

I stand behind my previous response. The homeowner loved her new tile up until now. Again if we can accommodate her within reason we will. We have documented every conversation and completed a daily log of the progress of the job.

Hired to paint a bedroom and small bathroom. Painter used my ceramic sink to clean his tools and left a chip in the sink. Painting is awful. Left primer on the door jams that weren't painted, lots of missed spots on the walls and trim work looks like a kid did it. I told them we are going to replace the carpet but that doesn't mean you can leave drips on my carpet. The owner said he was going to contact his insurance about my sink and we haven't heard from him again. We are repainting the rooms ourselves.

We were hired to paint. We have photos of the finished product. They signed and agreed to payment after they did a walk through to inspect the job. We did not use any tools whatsoever that could have possibly chipped her sink. The chip in the sink that she is speaking of was already there prior to us painting. We made notes of the condition of the rooms prior to starting the work. The chip in her sink was also notated. We did not know she was not happy with the paint job prior to this complaint. We would be more than happy to touch up any areas that need attention free of cost. We want our customers to be 100% satisfied with work we complete.

That is a blatant lie. I never did a walk through with anyone. And the painter cleaned his tools and paint pan in my sink. My husband was here at the time. The owner Jeff even said the painter he sent should not have been using my sink. He has no proof of the chip before he started because it wasn't there and it's not stated on my paper before he started the job He was the one that wrote on his receipt that he would contact his insurance company about it. I never said anything about him getting a new sink. That was all him. It was just his way to get out without repairing it as many people online have stated he doesn't fix his work. I wasn't here for the walk through and after seeing it in the light I have many pictures that show what a poor job the painter did. He even spilled paint on my carpet. You can see the old paint under his new paint job. It was so bad we had to repaint everything he did. I was waiting to see the outcome of the sink before I told him about the the paint. We never heard from them again. When I texted the owner lady she had no clue what I was talking about because Jeff never told her. Then she wouldn't respond to messages and Jeff wouldn't answer the phone. They are frauds and liars. They are doing shoddy work and not making things right. She had threatened to sue me if I didn't take down my Facebook post. She posted pictures of my house on her website without my permission. I ask her to remove it as she stated another happy customer. I replied not a happy customer and she removed my post. I can send pictures if you need them. They have pictures at a distant so you can't see their work.

This is not true. The ladys husband did the walk through and signed the paperwork accepting the job as completed. We have documented the knick in her sink prior to painting. The husband viewed the job and signed off on it. This lady is a liar and wants a free vanity and is using our small company to try and get it. Very sad they can even sleep at night. She has 0 proof of anything

We are not the first customer they scammed with the poor quality work. It is now all over social media. I saw it after hiring them. They are accused of not responding to calls when the incomplete or poor quality work is brought to their attention. I have proof of the sink without a chip before they came and the day the painter came and I got home from work and saw the chip in the sink. I can prove it with my paperwork from Jeff and she can not as it's not documented on any paperwork. If she does have it is paperwork from after the fact (which she would have falsified)and that is the reason I don't have anything from them stating the sink was chipped at Jeff's consultation. She needs to look at herself before she starts calling people liars as she has never seen my house or the so called painting they provided..As we stated before we just wanted them to repair the sink as per Jeff's note on our paid receipt(proof of the chip). We should have never paid him until the sink was repaired as he was in a hurry to get the check to the bank because he knew he wasn't going to make good on his documented note on my receipt to repair his damage not a new sink as she states. She needs to stay out of it as she doesn't know how to tell the truth. We just want to make sure no one else falls pray to their scam.
