Alteon Health Indiana

Alteon Health is the employer of our local ER doctors. Nobody informed us of this the 2 times we went to the ER or the fact that they are "out of network" for our insurance. When we got 2 outrageous bills for both visits we called our insurance and they suggested we send them to the fraud claims department. Instead I called Alteon Health to settle the bill and be done with it. Alteon Health agreed to take $1000 off our total and call it even if we didn't send them to fraud claims. We paid in full right then and there. ONE FULL YEAR LATER we got a bill from a collections agency stating we owed Alteon Health $1000! No notice or bill to let us know they went back on their word and were sending us to collections. This lowered our credit score and hurt us financially. Shame on Alteon Health for not sticking to their word and then for not billing us.

I have Medicare insurance & *** insurance. What Medicare doesn’t pay *** does. I never got a bill from this alteon Health but they sent me to a collection agency. I got a letter from Phoenix Financial on 1/28/2020. According to *** they never got an EOB for Medicare from the Alteon Health System for date of service 11/30/2018. Plus they never sent anything to *** for date of service 1/14/2019. I am not the only person that has had trouble with this Alteon Health about there billing. My boyfriend has Medicare & Blue across blue shield & he was sent to a collection agency 3 times.
