Review: In late May, I purchased a sweater & took it to the above firm for shoulder pads. I also took the items with a total cost of $60. When I picked up the sweater it had been stretched & was far too large. The owner said the sweater was a good brand * to let her keep it. I assumed she was going to look for a replacement. She merely took in all the seems & it was now too small. It bore no resemblance to the original sweater. She asked for my phone number & wrote it down. I never heard from her and called back to ask if she was going to cover the cost. She hung up on me. The sweater originally was expensive but I got it on sale for $30.Desired Settlement: I would sincerely appreciate your help in collecting the $30. Good luck - you'll need it.

Response:
[redacted], an elderly woman, brought in a woven sweater from The Gap. The sweater was a modern style and she asked for shoulder pads to be inserted. We inserted the shoulder pads and when she returned she claimed the sweater had been taken out and shortened. No such work had been done as only shoulder pads were put in. We asked her to go compare this sweater to others at the Gap so she could see it is just the style of the sweater, she refused. She left her item and asked for it to be made longer. We attempted to iron it to make the style a bit different and longer. When she came back she said it was now too long and too narrow and she wanted it back to its original condition. When we attempted to tell her that is how we gave it to her originally, she became very irate and stormed out. We pride ourselves on our customer service and customer loyalty. Our reviews are always exceptional and although we believe this was a miscommunication, we are willing to reimburse [redacted] for the cost of the sweater and not charge her for any of the work that was done. A check has been issued in her name.
