Alterations Master

Review: I had taken my wedding dress to Alterations Masters to be hemmed before my wedding. They charged me $300 for the alterations, told me they were complete (albeit at the very last second and after much prompting on my part) and gave me my wedding dress all packaged up so that I didn't take it out until I got to my wedding. I put it on and found that it had not been hemmed at all - in fact the pins they placed to mark where they were planning to hem it were still in place! My bridesmaids spent the whole wedding frantically safety pinning my dress so that I could walk, and it was a nightmare. After the wedding I called to complain and was promised an immediate refund. Two weeks went by while I was out of town, and then I called again and was told my information must have "been lost" and I would get a refund within 24-48 hours. Another week has now passed and I have not received my refund.Desired Settlement: As far as I am concerned, this company owes me much more in damages than a refund of my payment, but at this point I will settle for a refund of the $300 that they promised me.

Hi,

We were having trouble with our credit card processor / merchant bank and the refund had to be manually put in on two different occasions. It is a huge hassle dealing with our merchant bank to process a simple refund but we have fixed the mistake by calling customer care this morning. We were assured this time that the refund had gone through as promised and the client will see it on their statement shortly.

Our sincerest apologies to this client for the failure in service by our company.
