Four Rittling Heat/Cool Fan Coil Units have been installed in my apartment. One unit is leakingas result of wrong auxiliary pan-tray installation.ACE & HVAC company istalled the Rittling 3 size 02 and 1 size 03 units in my apartment [redacted] (2nd floor) per Contract dated 08/16/11 and paid in full on 11/28/2011.On July 09, 2012 our condo [redacted] received complaints from apartment [redacted] (1st floor)that he has a leak from my apartment (in small bedroom). [redacted] inspected my apartment, removed unit front panel and found that the axiliary plastic pan-tray has a crack (3.5"x0.25") as result of wrong installation.During 2012 and 2013 air-conditioning cycles all condensate from cooling coils and valves was not directed to drain connecton but was on floor. Next day July 10 I called ACE & HVAC president [redacted] to inform her, she responded that they do not responsible for maintenance and have any obligation after a one year warranty is expired. I asked her to send somebody to inspect unit, she promissed but did not call me back.I contacted the Rittling manufacturer and they directed me to O'Lerry distribution company in Mass. Now I am waiting for new replacement pan-tray to make this unit operational again.To install new tray some plumbing work will require.I am [redacted] man with heart problem do not have AC system in bedroom and I do not have any idea when unit will be operational again.The hardwood floor im my bedroom is warped and has to be replaced. Mr. [redacted] explained to me that he had a leak due to installation error. If this was true it should have been identified with in the one year warranty period. At that time I explained to him we are no longer performing maintenance for that building. The building is old and has many many issues with condensation and such. Due to the building problems it made our job extremely difficult to provide the service we strive to perform. Therefore we made the decision to no longer service that building. We warranty our product and installation for 1 year. The installation was completed between Sept 28, 2011 and Oct 4, 2011. Therefore, the warranty had ended on Oct 4, 2012. When I spoke to Mr. [redacted] I stated that I would have to check with a colleague to see if he would like to respond to the service call. I told him I would have someone call him back. At 2:50PM on July 9th, 2013, I received a threating phone call from Mr. [redacted] stating he will claim legal action for not calling him back. He did not provide me with enough time to respond back to him. The unit heaters have been installed for almost 2 years and this is the first I have heard of a problems. We feel we have completed our obligation to the contract with Mr. [redacted]. The warranty period had expired and we don't feel as though we need to provide him with the service.
