Review: We recently did a large construction project on our house. In the process of the project, we found that during an install that dish had done, their installer had cut a gaping hole through our main heating duct (top and bottom) roughly the size of a softball, to run his wiring. That being said, before the construction project started, this hole was pouring heat into an uninsulated crawl space under our house for almost 7 years, resulting in hundreds of dollars of lost heating cost. Their manager came out and took pictures of the damage. We were able to provide them with all the necessary account information back to the specific day of the install, we also included electric bills to show the $200 a month increase our bill went up after the install. After 5 months of calling and trying to get updates with Dish's Damage Dept, we received a letter in the mail stating that they were denying our claim for compensation of heating costs. Their reason for denying it, in their own words "We do not take responsibility for the listed damage/loss of property (heat duct/loss of heat) due to insufficient evidence to establish that the technician's workmanship led to said damage" I find this completely unacceptable. All the original wiring was there, still connected to the dish receiver in the room above it. We were able to provide EVERYTHING they asked us to and they STILL denied the claim. After assessing our electric bills and talking with the electric company (as this is a forced air electric furnace) we found that due to the negligence of Dish's employee, we have paid out almost an extra $5000.00 in heating cost.Desired Settlement: We are seeking at least half ($2500.00) of the heating loss cost. That money is going to be spent having to hire someone to come in and fix the holes in our heating duct, and also to compensate for some of the money we have lost!

Review: Dish Network tech came to install Dish at my house. My brother was home when they came. He had the tech call me because she had a question. She inquired about where to put the dish and I told her she could install it on the roof where she could get good reception. She then called back and said that my cable needed to be replaced because ours would not handle satellite. She told me that she would need to drill a hole to get the cable in. I told her that was fine as I understood at some point the cable would need to get into the house. She did not tell me that she would run over 50 feet of black cable ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY TAN SIDING, screw it to my siding and then drill holes outside my living room and bedroom to get the cable in. She left the cables on the S end of the house and all of the connectors exposed. A 2nd tech came out and saw her work and indicated it was not standard installation. She did nothing to make the cables hidden or put a box or anything around the cables. We called them and they sent a letter denying our damage claim stating we approved the installation even after another tech left notes on our account stating the installation was not standard.Desired Settlement: We want the cable installed properly and the damage done to our side with the multiple screws she screwed in fixed. At this point I'd like them to come and fix the horrible work they did. In fact I'd prefer they took all of their equipment and let us out of the contract. The whole experience with them has been absolutely horrible.
