Unfortunately, over the last few months we were not able to resolve this matter with mail and phones calls. At this point, we feel it's best to resolve this matter before Adams County Court.
You may be interested to know that we settle or stipulate the vast majority of matters similar to yours in mediation or at pretrial conference.
I understand that there are several things with this account that you would like changed.

I have phone bills showing that there was only one call after my agreement to pay the amount. During that call, my husband requested that you contact me as he was unable to speak to the matter. There were no subsequent calls made to try and resolve this prior to filing. It is my belief that this was purposeful and calculated, so as to avoid receiving my payment so that you could request additional fees that now equate to three times the original amount that I agreed to pay.
It is also unacceptable that the representatives claim to be the owner under the name of "Joe Baca", and in fact refused to allow me to speak to the actual owner, Kevin [redacted]. Further, they failed to send an itemized list to me requested at the initial call where I agreed to pay the amount request, less any additional and excessive fees (which I could not tell as I had not been provided a detailed account).
The behaviors that have been displayed by employees of this company have been devious and unethical. I agreed on the very first call to pay what I owed, and should be allowed to make that payment. Instead, no one followed up with me as they stated they would.
In addition, let it be known that the sworn statement that the papers were served to my husband at 10:26am on April 1st, were in fact falsified. My husband was at an appointment (which can be verified) in Denver at the time he was reportedly receiving the papers. This further reinforces the idea that the actions of this company are unethical and devious.
I will not accept apologies, and I will not settle this matter. I am willing to pay the original amount that I agreed to pay.
