Alternative Wastewater Systems

Alternative Wastewater System - Ryan S was hired to install a *** septic system which was required by the State of *** for construction of our new house. Our understanding is this is the only business that can install this system in the state of ***. Paid $5422.00 for system and installation. They initially installed a used filter and box (full of bugs and dented). Ryan's employee left the job site when I complained about the sloppy work and not getting the new filter. When my wife spoke to Ryan he told her she needed to give him a break he is only 25. The employee returned and then quickly left again. Leaving the electric control panel box open and no screws to secure it closed. We purchased some screws to keep it closed.
In the meantime the state was allowing others to become certified to do the required annual inspection of the system. We began using the septic system in October of 2017 after the final inspection from Central District Health. We hired a local person, Josh, to do the required inspection-$200 The system failed (too high in nitrogen) We contacted Ryan and he told us he could not tell anything without seeing the report. We had to have the system pumped costing $460. It then needed to be retested costing $240.47. Again the system failed. Josh contacted the *** company to try to figure out why the system was not working correctly. They told him it was likely the timers were not set correctly. We contacted Ryan again with this information and then he told us where to set the timers. Within about 2 weeks the system seemed to be working. We are required by the state to do another test. We asked Ryan if he would do the test. He informed my wife "if you are calling for freebies or Warranty I'll stop you right there because that is not going to happen," and hung up on her. He did agree to do the the test for $150.
Our complaint is the system has not worked from day one because the timers were not set correctly. This has cost us extra $ and aggravation.
