Alternative Weed Therapy

In Response to *** Complaint: As per ***, she is correct that we did see her for a November 11, 2019 New Patient evaluation. What she did not tell you was that she was scheduled for a follow-up on November 23, 2019 which she "No Call/No Showed" for. She also did not respond to our phone call in response to her not coming to that appointment. The certification she spoke of was issued on November 23, 2019. It was not till three months later in February when she reached back out to us to schedule a the follow-up. However, while she was on the phone she also wanted to schedule her "Friend/Sister-in-law" but tried multiple last names. When I realized what was going on I stepped in and took over the call as we could not play a guessing game with someone till they found out if a patient was a patient at our office, This is a HIPPA violation. I told her this and she hung up. A week later on Friday at 1:45pm she called saying she was running late for her 1:30pm appointment. Since we figured she must be minuets away, we had time to squeeze her in and made an exception. About 30 minutes later she still had not arrived and are scheduled was booked the remainder of the day. We called to cancel they said they were minutes away I said we would need to reschedule. When they arrived (now 45 minutes late for what would have been a 1:30 appointment) her friend came running in screaming at our receptionist while *** got her child out of the car. I was sitting up front and tried to calm her down but she was out of hand. *** than came in hearing us trying to talk over her friend to get her to calm down. I told her if she couldn't stop she was going to have to leave. When *** came to the window she began to talk to me, but then her friend chimed in again, which is when I told her to leave the office. Her friend refused and *** handed her child to her and told her to go outside and she wouldn't even listen to her. I started again to try to talk with *** and her friend chimed in again causing me to kick them out of the office since they were making a scene in front of another patient. They again refused to leave I gave them one last chance to leave before I had to call the police to file a report and have them permanently trespassed from the building. They finally left. It was later decided by the doctor that he would no longer work with her since she was kicked out of the office causing an incident so ridiculous over just needing to reschedule. Our office submitted our incident to the state office of Medical Marijuana letting them know the reason why and the change in her status with the program. She was emailed that same day. She began having her friends and her leave bad reviews on google. She then began having her friend/sister-in-law or someone claiming to be try to get a follow-up appointment. However the name the person gave us originally and signed the paperwork with is not any of the names we were provided. *** came in and paid originally for her New Patient Evaluation, Toxicology, and consultation. We performed our duties and she qualified to continue and then failed to come back. We did our jobs back in November and she will not be receiving a refund for the services performed. When *** claimed to be recording us and hiring an attorney to sue us, we broke all communication. It is also in our paperwork that she is not allowed to use recording devices to record anyone from our office which is a direct violation of HIPPA as she might be recording the doctor speaking in the background to a patient. She then proceeded to badger the receptionist with phone calls from multiple numbers for the rest the day, which she was instructed to just hang up. I hope that you can see how this seems to be a little outlandish, but again, this incident could have been avoided had she just rescheduled and have better control over the friends you bring to your appointment.
