Altizer & Maxey

Review: I purchased an engine for my 2002 Mazda MPV Van and had it delivered to Altizer & Maxey to have it installed. I paid $442.00 to have it installed only to leave the garage with a very loud rattling noise due to a cracked exhaust manifold, cruise control not working and my floor mats missing. It would cost $800 (approx) to rectify these problems. Mr. [redacted] of Altizer and Maxey took no responsibility for any of these items and was not even willing to discuss a workable solution.Desired Settlement: The loud rattling, the cracked manifold problem and the inoperable cruise control only originated upon picking up the car from the garage on 9/10/13. The car made no noises and cruise worked great prior to that. Altizer & Maxey should restore the manifold and cruise control to it's original working condition and replace the mats or compensate me for the cost to do so.

The customer brought in an mpv van not running on a tow truck for me to replace the engine. He purchased the engine at [redacted] auto. I replaced it and it ran fine. When he picked up the van I told him it needed an exhaust manifold and if he bought it then I'd put it on free of charge. [redacted] doesn't sale exhaust manifolds so therefore his new motor didn't come with one. His cruise control button on the dash has a short in it. I told him I wouldn't attempt to fix it because I don't do electrical work, so I never bothered with the cruise control. As far as floor mats go, he never mentioned them and this is the first I've heard about them.
