To Whom It May Concern: This letter is in response to a complaint we received on June 22, 2016 from the Revdex.com. Mr. [redacted] states the complaint involves repair issues. told to make the call as cheap as possible. Alton Parts Supply will also share statements from the owner and two employees who dealt with Mr. [redacted] either on the phone or on the job. Information from [redacted], the owner of Alton Parts Supply: 05/25/16 – Mr. [redacted], **. called Alton Parts Supply wanting us to do a service call to fix a furnace. We offered to check A/C while we were there so Mr. [redacted] wouldn’t get charged for another service call later. Mr. [redacted], **. did not want us to check the A/C.                         06/03/16 - On Friday Mr. [redacted], **. wanted us to check the A/C. APS told Mr. [redacted] we could not get there until Monday 06/06/16. Mr. [redacted] was mad that we could not get there right now which we offered to do so on 05/25/16.             06/06/16 - On Monday APS went on a service call to check A/C. The unit did not have any Freon in it at all. APS suggested to do a leak test or replace it to prevent future problems. Mr. [redacted]. stated he wanted it done as cheap as possible and to just                   get it running.        06/10/16 – On Friday APS received a call from Mr. [redacted], **. stating he wanted APS to come today (Friday afternoon 06/10/16). Mr. [redacted], **. stated that the tenant did not give him any information and did not tell him what was going on with his rental for two days. APS informed Mr. [redacted], **. we would be there first thing Monday. APS called at 8:00 a.m. on 06/13/16 and had no answer on all three numbers we had listed for our client. The numbers we had on file were [redacted] (**.), [redacted] (**.) and the tenant’s phone number ([redacted]) [redacted]. After trying all the numbers, we never received a call from anyone. On 06/13/16 APS did send our technician [redacted] out anyway, not knowing if someone was waiting outside for our arrival. Upon arrival no one was at the residence. Our Technician went as far as he could go to find out why the unit was not working without having access to inside the tenant’s home. As our Technician was working with the unit he noticed the unit had not been washed out as [redacted], **. said he would do. APS continued with cleaning out the AC and checked electrical system. At the time we were ready to leave, unable to go any further due to no one there, [redacted] left a note on the door and called all the phone numbers again with no answer. [redacted], **. called in the afternoon and spoke to [redacted], an employee of APS. At that time he wanted to cancel the service call and also said we were never there. [redacted] called [redacted], **. back to tell him what we had done and what we tried to do. [redacted]. stated he would check with his tenant and get back to us. Mr. [redacted] never did call back and has an unpaid balance with us. [redacted], Owner, has phone records that will be available. Mr. [redacted] also has a text from [redacted] saying Tenant might not have given him the message.                              Information from [redacted], APS Service Technician: On June 6, 2016 I was called back to the same residence as May 25th call. I was sent to check the A/C unit. I looked for leaks with electronic leak detector and dry nitrogen charge. At that time I found no leaks. I asked [redacted], **. if he wanted me to use Leak Seal to possibly fix any small leaks and the customer replied "No". Condenser was very dirty. [redacted], **. did not want me to clean unit, that he was going to clean it "today." I recommended to recheck the charge in 7-10 business days. If refrigerant was leaking I suggested that we use leak seal On June 10, 2016 I was called back to residence to check on a unit not cooling. When I arrived at the residence I found the condenser still dirty. I proceeded to clean the unit from the inside out using water. Again, the tenant was not there for me to get inside the residence to check A-Coil. I left a note on the back of a business card and placed it in the hard door by the door knob. Customer did not respond to note. Information from [redacted] an employee with APS: I received a phone call from Mr. [redacted], **. of him wanting to cancel his service call he placed with us. Mr. [redacted], **. was very mad and asked why we were not at the residence. I informed him that we had been to the residence but no one showed up. When I got off the phone I shared with [redacted], owner that he had called. At that time [redacted] called Mr. [redacted], **. to share with him what all we had done at the residence. After providing you with details of this complaint we hope you realize all we were trying to do is do our job. It’s hard to do if they don’t communicate between themselves and follow through with what they originally called about. If a person limits you on what your suppose to do to fix their equipment its definitely hard to get our job done.
