Re: Complaint Id# [redacted]I have reviewed the above referenced complaint and have found the following.As of January 23rd 2017, the date of the complaint, Ms. [redacted] had an account balance of $397.72. Of this amount $304.49 was past due. As this amount was 2 months or more delinquent...

the account was scheduled for service termination. Although the account was past due $304.49 we were attempting to collect only $213.75 so that the account would no longer be 2 months past due and could be removed from the service termination list.On January 17th, [redacted] contacted our office and said he would pay $100.00 on January 20th. He was informed that he would need to pay $213.75 to avoid service termination. Mr. [redacted] then came into the office on January 23rd to make a payment of $40.00. He was told at this time that $40.00 was not enough to stop service termination. He chose to keep the $40.00 and left.Ms. [redacted] contacted our executive office shortly after Mr. [redacted] left our customer service department. I returned her call a short time later to discuss this matter with her but she explained she was not interested in talking to me or anyone in my office because we refuse to work with customers and would only talk to the General Manager.Upon speaking to the General Manager, Ms. [redacted] agreed to pay $100.00 January 24th (which was paid) and an additional $200.00 on February 3rd. Review: The Altoona Water Authority shut my water off due to being 2 months behind with a total bill of being $110. They never gave me a 3 day notice that they were shutting off my water. Today when I talked to the manager he said they can turn off the water for a fifty dollar bill. This is not the first time I have had issues with them. In 2013 they were taking my water payments and putting it on my parents bill. In order to get my payments put on my water usage I had to take my article agreement in to show the manager the exact date we moved into our home. When you call to talk to he is not willing to work with you. My husband is on Social Security Disability and I am currently a full time college student.
