I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and, while I saw no noticeable schedule of fees posted, must find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.   I do not understand notary fees, or why they are so outrageous in this state, but I do not begrudge a business making profit if it is done legitimately.

Review: Was charged a notary fee higher than the cost of services rendered ($74.50 for a $51 title transfer), plus fees for "DealerTrack" which is used for vehicle financing. I did not purchase a vehicle through this business, why am I being charged for services I have not incurred? Nor did I receive my title, which is to be mailed to me, or registration, which I could not afford due to the, I feel, exorbitant notary fees. This business claims to have an A+ Revdex.com rating, yet the Revdex.com shows this business as not being accredited at all.Desired Settlement: I'd like to see some of my money returned to me, but honestly I just wanted to bring this information to the attention of the Revdex.com. Especially as this business claims to hold an A+ rating.

To Whom It May Concern:[redacted] completed the title transfer at Altvater’s Auto Sales on June 7th, 2016. He purchased a motorcycle for the purchase price of $200.00 as told to us by the seller &/or buyer.All title transfers are completed online unless the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) will not decode. We are contracted with an authorized vendor by PennDot. We are charged a set fee for every transaction that is completed. Customer requested a title only transfer.[redacted] The following State fees are associated with every title transfer:Taxes: 7% Sales Tax (Buyer lives in Allegheny County) of $200 equals 14.00 Title Fee: $51.00Total State Fees: $65.00All state fees are paid by check, if the customer does not have a checking account, we offer to write the check for them for a fee of $2.00 in addition to the $85.00 Agent Fees.[redacted] Altvater’s Agent Fees:For a Title Transfer: $85.00 (this includes online processing or Dealertrack fee, clerical fee, notary fee and fee to messenger the paperwork to Penndot.Our fees are posted in the office where title transfers are done. A copy of our fee structure is included.PennDot mandates that all titles are printed and issued by Harrisburg. Penndot mails all titles to the buyer’s address.Altvater’s Auto Sales prides itself on providing great customer service at a reasonable cost. We are in compliance with all PennDot regulations.
