Alvarado's Tire Shop

On December 19, 2014 a man came to our shop and asked for the price for new tires size 225X75x16, but he never asked for a specific brand.  We told him that we could get him new tires for $146 each per tire, plus tax plus balancing.  Once we gave him the price he replied saying "okay" so...

we went ahead and got the tires from the company that we buy them from, installed them and balanced them.  He never mentioned having talked to me earlier during the day or getting a quote over the phone at any time.  We receive a large number of phone calls throughout the day asking for prices for different tires, both new or used, but I have no way of knowing if I actually spoke to him since we don't ask customers to give us their name when they call.  It is very unrealistic though, to think that you could get new tires for $64 each, here or anywhere else.  I don't know where he found that the retail price for the tires that he got is $125, but we buy the tires from different companies and set our own prices once we get them here at our shop, which is why he was told that they were $146 per tire before we went and got them for him.After the tires were installed, he came to the office to pay and his final balance was $675.48 which included $145 per tire, $32 for balancing, and $8 for disposal of the old tires, plus tax.  Once he was given the final balance, he simply said that the price was too high, but he never refused to pay nor did he ask to cancel the whole transaction.In the report it is also mentioned that he was "not provided with any warranty for the tires" but then he also says that he wants a "written warranty that was represented to me" which contradicts the first statement.  We actually never spoke about warranty.  He didn't ask.  Since we get all different brands of tires from different companies, the warranty always depends on the kind of tires that you get.  The brand of tires that he got was Toyo Open Country HP, which doesn't come with a warranty, other than a replacement in case the tires have a factory defect.Attached you will find a copy of the receipt that was given to him after the transaction was completed and before he left our shop. If you have any additional questions please don't hesitate to contact me.[redacted]
