I am incloseing a copy of the contract.lf you send me a e mail address I can text you the pictures off of my phone of the job as it was being done,and after it was finished.
As I was hired to do the back flat part of the roof as I did.I have went back five times to try to find the leak in the roof above the flat roof,that is causing the leak. I have told her property manger that I can not tell if I found the leak in the upper roof until after it rains to see if it is still leaking.To begin with I was not hired to fix the upper roof.I was hired to replace the flat roof as I did.As far as not ansewering her emails,I have not had email in months.The flat roof that I replaced goes under the upper roof,and as I have told her property manger no matter what I do until the old upper roof is redone it is going to leak.And as I have told him I am not going to replace the upper roof,it was not in the contract for me to do that. I did what I was hired to do.
The roof was removed,cleaned up and hauled off.The
damaged sheetrock and insulation and raffters all replaced.And the new metal roof was installed.Her property manger said he was taking down the sheetrock,and the
insulation until the leak was found,and as I told him I would not come back and fix what he tears down.As I have the pictures to show it was done.The flat roof I put a pitch to it so it would drain the water off right.No where in the contract does it state I was to do that or patch the upper roof ,but I did it anyway.lf I only did part of the job as Miss [redacted] states,how do I have the pictures showing where the old roof was removed,and the new metal roof put on,and the insulation, and sheetrock installed,and painted.Also the painting was not in the contract ,but I did it anyway. They were to pull the permits to have this work done,but when I call today to see if they ever did,I was told they did not.lf Miss [redacted] wants to take me to court that is her choice They were happy with the job until I told them I was not going to replace the old upper roof,I was only doing what was in the contract.
Miss [redacted] was sent pictures of the job as it was being done,and I still have them on my phone.

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] was hired to fix the leak. The leak is still happening. He though it was the portion of the roof which he replaced which is evident that it is not since it is still happening. Basically, I payed for a portion of the roof to be replaced that was not causing the problem that he was hired to fix. Why can he not call me or my property manager back? He makes mention of the email but nothing about the numerous phone calls. Since he would not call us back, I felt I had no other option than to file this complaint. 
 
Then this mention of a permit...what? I have no idea where this is coming from. NEVER did he mention anything about a permit. Every other contractor that I have ever hired has always pulled any needed permits. 
 
I am all for supporting small businesses as this is what makes our economy grow but it is experiences such as this one that make it hard to continue to do so. The fact is [redacted] was hired to fix the leak, he said it was because of the flat portion of the roof and I paid him to replace it. The leak is still happening, as far as we know, because he has not gone back to check on it after his last patch. It has rained since the last time he was there which is what he said he was waiting on. Five, ten or twenty times, it shouldn't matter how many times he has gone back. It should matter that he didn't fix what he was originally hired to and has stopped returning phone calls.
