to her numbers and budgetWhich is a $discountHowever she ended up

contractIt also stated the final balance is due with the final count five

I also agreed to let them switch date if needed and would
not charge them an extra dollar if her husband had to go do due to military obligations
However, we had to do the dishes and I had to have a couple

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted] mentioned that 75% is due 90 days prior the event, but I did not know her actual final figures until 1 day before the event.  She even emailed me the final figures and I did not even have time to say no to her other additional staff and I hand deliver her the certified check the night before the event.  I also agreed to her additional staff because she said to me that she will take care of the clean up and all we have to do is leave the manor after the event. Our guests started leaving even before the last song and during the last song most of us were already waiting for our cars outside by the front door.  All guests are already out of the manor around 9:00 pm mainly because of waiting and getting our cars from the parking area. Even while we were waiting outside, her staff were already busy moving round tables out to place them outside the front grass area.  I will talk to my caterer/vendor about [redacted] complaints and will see if further actions are necessary.

Although I now see that paying gratuity, tax, and other fees was appropriate, Sherry STILL owes me $750. Please see my assessment below.
Manor Cost: $ 6,500.00
Door Staff: $ 125.00
Manor Personnel: $ 295.00
Subtotal: $6,920.00
15% Gratuity: $7,958.00
9% Tax: $8,674.22
Grand Total: $ 8,674.22
Amounts Paid
Deposit  $  2,000.00
Payment  $  4,500.00
Payment  $  2,924.28
 $  9,424.28
Overpayment: $ 750.06
Furthermore, Sherry's response hardly made any sense at all. I understand that a security deposit was required, but no damage actually came to the premises; is she seriously going to keep a $750 deposit for doing some dishes? THAT definitely was not specified in the contract, which she attached to her reply.
I will not be satisfied until I receive the $750 back.

Review: We used Alwyngton Manor as the venue for our wedding. The contract we received stated that the cost of the venue's "Frugal Friday" deal would be $6500-- that was the only dollar amount mentioned in the contract whatsoever. Although the contract stated that there were "personnel fees" and "taxes", the way it read implied that those fees and taxes were included in the $6,500 price. There was never any mention of a higher cost, in spite of speaking with the [redacted]) through email, over the telephone, and in person multiple times. On May 17, 2014, I met with [redacted] in person to discuss final arrangements for our wedding, which was to take place on June 13, 2014. Previously, I had paid a down payment of $2,000 to secure the venue. During the meeting, Sherry discussed "paying the balance owed" and asked me to put a check in the mail for her that day. When I asked how much we still owed, she told us to cut a check for $4,500, and I did that very day. In the morning of June 13, the day of my wedding, [redacted] sent me a text message informing me that I still owed her nearly $3,000 in servicing fees and taxes and other "fees". I informed her that that couldn't possibly be right, because I had paid the balance almost a month earlier. She told me that those were additional expenses that I had to pay. I asked her if it would be possible for me to cut her a check after my husband and I returned from our honeymoon, since we needed the money for travel expenses for our honeymoon. She told us that she absolutely had to have the money in hand that day in order to pay vendors. I was afraid that she would cause a scene at my wedding, so I cut her a check that day, even though I disagreed with her unfair "fees". I had so many other things going on in preparation for the wedding, which was only a few hours away, that I couldn't fight her over her deceptive and abusive actions. She effectively held my wedding day ransom.

Because of [redacted]'s deceptive and unfair actions, my husband and I did not have the $3,000 cushion that we planned on having for our honeymoon expenses--we could barely afford what few costs we incurred. I didn't even have a full day of notice before she told me I suddenly owed her half again the cost of the contract in fees that weren't at all discussed at any point previously. [redacted] ruined our honeymoon and hurt our finances so even though me and my husband are just now beginning our life together, we are worried about making ends meet.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $2,924.28 fee that was imposed on us without our knowledge or consent. [redacted] should also change all her future contracts to include the TRUE price of the venue, so other couples seeking wedding venues are not deceived by her unfair contract, and won't find themselves scrambling to make ends meet.

Review: [redacted] the owner of Alwyngton Manor has failed to give me back my security deposit for the Wedding event held at Alwyngton Manor. The contract says that she should return the security deposit after 30 days of the event. It has been more than 30 days now and I still has not received my money. She is claiming that she has missing items from my event but she fails to send me what was missing. She has back to back to back events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October 9, 10, and 11 of 2015. My event was on the 10th (Saturday). How would she know that it was lost on the day of my event? I have emailed her and called her but she just asked my address and she said she is going to mail it, but I still have not received my money. At the same time there are specifics in the contract that were not delivered in the actual event, such as in the contract she said that the plates are china but in the event they are just cheap glass plates and some of these plates are not properly washed that we have to wipe them with napkins or set them aside and pick a cleaner plate. I paid her more than a thousand of dollars for tips without asking any question and yet she wont give me back my security deposit on time.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund or return of my $750.00 security deposit. She should also pay for the interest based on the number of days it was late to fulfill the return of my security deposit since November 11, 2015.
