I took my watch to Montclair jewelers for a new batteryUpon receiving the new battery, I watched the hands of the watch and they still did not move I was informed that it would cost $200-$to fix the watchHowever, the jeweler could not tell me what exactly needed to be fixedTwo days later I took the watch to another jeweler who opened the watch and discovered that the battery was dead and determined that the watch had not been open for quite some time ( judging by the dust that would have been necessarily disturbed when opened)He replaced the battery and the watch has been working great sinceAdditionally, he told me that to replace the entire mechanism (had that been required) would be maximum $I was furious that Montclair Jewelers showed such a lack of integrity and character in dealing with meI only hope that others will be careful when dealing with themThey never changed the battery or even opened the watch!

The service reps seemed less than interested and somewhat dismissive in addressing my concern regarding the possible purchase of a Seiko watchband from the companyThe undertones of ridicule about the matter hinted of dishonestyAttitude toward the customer countsThe experience upset me
