Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/11/23) */
We have completed Mr***'s job back in JulyThe first we had heard he had any type of issue was when we reached out to him after of his balance being unpaidThis was the first we were notified that he had some type of issueHe then
sent in the photos and the photos clearly show 90% of the foundation nearest the home is dryThere are two areas in which the water runs back "AFTER" it has to pile up and be forced backwardsSome of this issue is caused by the grass height being higher than the slab to the outsideHe also has gutters dumping onto the concrete pad which is alot of water to run awayRemind you this is just a concrete leveling pumping service we didThis is not a tear out regrade the whole area and pour new concreteThere are dips and imperfections from the original pour which are beyond our controlWhen the rain comes down it runs away from the house when it then gets damned and backed up it then at that point works back to the house
And I do apologize I have not returned his message immediately and it was tough for me to return this evenI have been mixed with feelings on this about why there is a problem and will they even pay if I were to come back outThey didnt pay when we were done and only when we asked for payment this aroseBecause I don't know really what to sayWe pumped it up to the line we showed him we would they were happy when we leftThen when the bill came in (which the estimate did not change price even though we went through way more product then we should have) there was a problemThe concrete slab is dramatically better than it was when we arrivedOur contracts ask for and call for payment at completionThey have not paid for what we have done up to this point that they okayed originallyWe are not going to go back out in the hopes to be paid
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/11/29) */

I reached out with this issue before I ever saw a bill for thisThe contract states the money would be paid to the foreman after completionThere was no foreman there and the workers states I would receive a bill"There are two areas in which the water runs back "AFTER" it has to pile up and be forced backwards" This is untrue and i'm not sure how you can determine that if you have never yet come out to see this problemThe water does not back up once it hits the grass, it never hit the grass it flows backwards from where it falls on the groundThere are also no gutters dumping water onto the concreteThe down spouts go over the concrete and dump into the grass ft away from the houseI have called and email many times and have constantly been ignoredI'm not trying to get out of paying, and still have the money set aside to payAll I want it a resolution"We pumped it up to the line we showed him we would" I was also told water would flow away from the house, in spots it doesn'tWhen I showed up the workers were already packing everything up, cleaning the tools and filling the drill holesI do not have the tools to verify the slope and took their word this would workI do agree that the majority of the patio is much better, with the exception of the spotsNo Our contractor ever ask for or called for payment at completionThey said I would receive a bill, which I did receive a day after I calledWhen I called was only days after we had our first rains since the work was done and I noticed there was still an issue that was supposed to be fixedI would have never filed this complaint if I had not been ignored for 3-months

We apologize for the inconvenience, there was a miscommunication between our service department and managementWe have now had our service department back out to the location and believe we have solved the issue that appeared to be coming from
another part of the roof that we were not originally contracted to doPlease let us know if there is anything else that needs to be done
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2017/05/26) */
They were very helpful after the complaint to Revdex.com*** called me that morning and came out the following day to clean up the botchy workHe also, finally answered my leaky roof question and repaired what was needed for free, and that was very appreciatedI only wished they would have been this attentive throughout the last several months, but none the lessI am happy with the repair and it seemed to hold up throughout this last rain storm

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/12/28) */
Hello, no matter what we respond with Mrs. [redacted] will not be satisfied. We have pictures with weeds, shrubs etc growing through her roof. Pictures showing the roof was completey rotten. She had buckets inside the home catching water before we...

were ever there. There are places that leak where the siding is rotten. It has nothing to do with the roof. The recent leak she had was a burst in a waterline. She says it is caused by a hole and could be possible. But the whole appears to be in the wall and soffits. An area in which she would not pay to correct and we were not hired to do anything with. Her vulgar language attitude and threatening phone calls which are recorded is why she has been informed we will not be back out to her home. She threatened legal actions multiple times and has had her friends review on Facebook and wherever possible. We also recommended that if a water line burst she needed to call her insurance company. They would be able to fix or decide whose problem it is. At this point we are advised through our attorneys to with old from conversations as she continues to threaten our company online.

I have never ever used vulgar language, never threatened, other than to be very upset that they never returned my phone calls. They told people we had trees growing in our home and we lived in squalid conditions. Neither of which is true. Yes, I had buckets setting in my home from leaks. For Heaven's sake, that is why I contracted with them to repair my roof. I ALSO have videos. Videos of 48 straight hours of leaking because they left my roof open, did not tarp it, knowing full well there was going to be major rain storms moving into the area. I did NOT ask them to fix my water pipe, what I asked was why they did not repair the hole in the roof that they were contracted to do that then allowed frigid air and snow into the closet causing the pipe to freeze and then break. I am very glad they recorded the phone calls because it proves I NEVER used vulgarity, I also have copies of every text and email I sent them. Did I threaten legal action? Of course I did. It seemed to be the only way to get any response from them. They had an office person call me screaming at me to cease and desist or else. I told her she must be joking that social media is a public forum and as long as I told the truth I was free to exercise my 1st amendment right to express my opinion...and they were and are true. VERY true. They forget I have 9+ videos of the horrific leaking because they neglected to tarp the roof between repair sessions. There workman, Wes, said it was so sad when he came the following Monday...he also took pictures and I left the buckets and pots and pans I had to use to catch the Niagara Falls of water caused by their negligence. They told people they felt sorry for us, that we lived so poorly, that it was pure squalor. They are complaining because the roof was "rotten"...do they think I would have hired them to fix a "new" or nearly new roof that did NOT need repair? They came out on 3 separate occasions to do the inspection, measurements, and discussing of what needed done, what they would do, and when, and the cost. Their project estimator, Phillip [redacted] was very thorough and knew beyond question the roof was not in good condition. What I resent most is their insisting I used vulgar language. I want to hear the recording where they say I used this language and read copies of the messages and texts containing same. All I actually said was they should be ashamed of ripping off senior citizens, knowing full well my husband has dementia and cancer, and I told them they should be ashamed of saying awful things like we live in squalor because that was taking away his last shred of dignity. Mike Alexander messaged people on Facebook about how squalid our home was, how we had trees growing in it. This is blatantly false. Am I ever going to be satisfied? Yes, because I know I ask God to forgive them, and also go to Mass and light candles for their souls' salvation. This is exactly what I told them in the "vulgar" messages they insist I sent, and if this is vulgarity, I'm just thinking we have a different sense of values. I just want them to remember, I have copies of everything I said and sent, and videos to prove my "side". Somehow I would think we would all be on the same side. Completing a job properly for which they were paid promptly.

Called A&M back in August they sent Dan to inspect home for a roof appraisal the first of Sept. He inspected roofs and was going to send an appraisal. The appraisal never came, I called the company twice and left messages and never got a call back.

Back on Oct. 8, 2015 I sent a review to the Revdex.com of this company, at that time I had not heard anything from A&M after they came to do an estimate for our roof back in August.

The next day after I gave the review with the Revdex.com, Dan from A&M showed up at our door with the estimate for our roof. He was apologetic, but never explained why my phone calls were not answered. But I thought I should let the Revdex.com know that because of their assistance I received a response and the estimate I wanted.

A & M has a great team of people working for them. I had a positive experience with each person involved with the installation of my tear off roof . I think one of the most important aspects of customer service is to be responsive to questions, comments and concerns and to resolve issues as they arise. A & M fills the bill and everyone, from the office personnel to the salesperson, crew and the owner, treated me and my property with respect. And my roof looks fantastic! I couldn't be happier.
