I was s client of Green Mountain Power from August to August I had to disconnect power to my residence in Barre, Vermont and assured that a bill for final payment would be sent to my e-mail and a paper copy would be sent to my new address After not receiving my bill I called the company today to find that the bill was not only past due, but sent to collections, which has negatively affected my credit score that by points I am doing this as the woman I talked to in the company's Customer Representative Center indicated that there was no survey that I could express my dissatisfaction This is not a model that a good business institution should put forth, especially one that is trying to portray itself as a progressive force in the state if Vermont

OCT 18, I OPENED AN ACCOUNT FOR *** *** *** ***, WAS CHARGED $SET UP FEE BILLED AND PAID $ON 11/- WHEN I CALLED ON 12/9/TO INFORM MOVING OUT THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY CLOSED MY ACCOUNT OCT 25, BECAUSE LANDLORD YELLED AT THEM AND HAD A TEMPER TANTRUM THEY NEVER INFORMED ME NOR RECEIVED AUTHORIZATION FROM ME I CALLED SHORTLY AFTER PAYMENT MADE IN NOVEMBER WITH A BROWN OUT, AND THEY COULD NOT CALL UP MY ACCOUNT UNDER MY PHONE NUMBER, NOTHING WAS DISCLOSED TO ME AT THAT TIME EITHER

Not only has the cost of electric spiraled out of control, GMP relies on "estimates" when they do not send a meter reader out to our property to find out exactly how much electricity we have used We have had our entire electrical system looked at by multiple electricians and we have recently updated some of our electrical system Still, we face outrageous electric bills, and this business of "estimating" usage is not only unethical, it is down right fraud when the bill is supposed to be adjusted back down once the actual usage has been noted That never happened for February of this year Our electric usage supposedly doubled for that month and there is NO REASON FOR THIS CLAIM I can understand a slight jump in our usage for December since we had a Christmas party this year I was pleased that our efforts to reduce our usage for January paid off I was APPALLED to see that even though we had continued being extra cautious about usage in February, our usage supposedly doubled
