Review: I moved into my first house and wanted to add deadbolts to the doors and re-key the locks. My parents were paying for the service as my housewarming gift. We searched for locksmiths and found them, and when called discovered they were a mobile company that subcontracted out. When he arrived, he tried selling fancy "bump proof" locks which I had never heard of. I specifically said MANY times that I wanted normal locks, not the considerably more expensive locks he tried selling me, even after I said very clearly to put in normal locks. When he began working, he damaged the door when he misplaced the tool used to cut the whole for the deadbolt, leaving a distinct black ring and chips in the door. He left a HUGE mess EVERYWHERE. I had a one year old running around with wood chips covering the floors. He also left his trash from all of the locks with the mess from the doors, including the chunks of the doors taken out for the dead bolts. I then called immediately after they left to talk to the supervisor about the experience I had. They had me email photos of the damages and the mess and said they would contact back. I heard NOTHING for days and I had to then call, multiple times. When I finally reached someone, to speak about the overcharging and damages, he said they took off the re-keying fee for the door being damaged but as far as the overcharge a SUPERVISOR said and I quote DIRECTLY, "I don't understand why you keep calling and complaining when you have locks in your house. He took off for the door, so I don't see why you keep calling and complaining about that." I explained I was overcharged and wanted the difference since I SPECIFICALLY said MULTIPLE times I wanted REGULAR locks and he said, again direct quote "Well we aren't doing anything about that so again, I don't see why you're complaining so much." I said it was a great deal of money so I wanted reimbursed and he said "well I can clearly see that, so I still don't see what you're expecting us to do, we aren't giving you anything else"Desired Settlement: I would like the difference for the locks that I had asked for and was told to "stop complaining" because I have locks in my house, so there isn't a need to keep complaining. I asked, MANY times for normal locks, not for the more expensive, and the locksmith put them in my house, and charged for them anyway. He said the normal were $140 and the "bump proof" were $185. I'm not requesting anything else for the damages to the door, just the difference of the locks I DID NOT ASK FOR.
