My boyfriend and I found a bedroom home that we were interested in on their website, met with an agent (Joanne) to view it, and decided we wanted to sign a lease that weekendWe spoke with our roommate at the time who decided he wanted to move with us which apparently was a big deal for this company (they said it was the owner who didn't allow roommates)After threatening to take the deposit we had already put down, they gave us the option to rent the property at an increased rate of $more per month So either we lost our $1,deposit we had already put down or we agreed to pay an extra $per month to have the roommate live with us! They also collected $in NON-REFUNDABLE pet fees upfront!!
Once we moved into the house, we noticed black mold on the dry wall under the inside AC unit which we were nervous about since the AC intake was right there and we didn't want to get sickThe property manager we were dealing with said "The previous tenants were a family with children and there were never any issues with anyone getting sickThe area is in the garage." SERIOUSLY?! I hope for that family's sake that mold wasn't out there the entire time they lived there with their small childrenThe AC was eventually replaced but we did not feel like Homevest cared about our safetyEven after the AC was fixed, we had a company come out to inspect the ducts inside the house who confirmed that there was black mold present in the ducts but Homevest would not own up and come out to fix itObviously the safety of their tenants is not top of mind for them
The refrigerator went out on us while living at the property which was addressed quickly (within the week) but was replaced with an even cheaper model in which the ice maker went out about a month after we had itThis may have been the owner who selected the cheap appliance however you would think with how much we were paying in rent, he would be able to afford a nicer model that actually worked
We also had an issue with our pool losing water constantly which Joanne responded with "We have spoken to the pool service co and he did say that during this time of year there is quite a bit of evaporation and water loss is to be expected"First of all, this was in January when you would expect evaporation rates to be lower, and second of all, we were having to add water twice a week and running a water bill of $a month on averageThis was not due to evaporationAfter MONTHS of paying for a pool we couldn't use (we had to turn the pool pump off so it wouldn't blow with the lower water levels because I refused to continue to pay for water that was leaking into the ground) they finally sent a company to come out who determined there was a leak in the pool which was eventually fixed
The next issue we had was when we hired a company to come out and power wash the pool deck (a cost that we took on ourselves to better this property) and some dirt and debris got into the pool making it cloudyThe pool service (which Homevest hired and was included in our rent) complained about actually having to do something other than come out and scoop bugs and leaves from the pool which prompted a nasty email from Joanne saying "I anticipate you handled the pressure washing of the deck yourselves and it was not professionally done....If there is any additional cost for the pool tech to get the pool cleaned up, you may be responsible for the cost." I responded letting her know that we did have a professional company power wash the deck and that I didn't appreciate her "anticipating" how we handled the situation when we were only trying to care for the propertyThe pool was just fine in a few days and I did receive an apology from Joanne because we felt attacked over the situation

I have used this company several times and they have been outstanding.
I had my whole drain disenagrated under my house. They rerouted the whole drain, they were very professional and the charges were very fair.

Another time I came back from vacation on a sunday only to find out all toilets were clogged and backing up in showers. He was there within in the hour to take care of me.

I would and have recommended AM/PM.
