Review: Had car towed to shop on November 6, 2015 for transmission rebuild. Informed the owner about the issues I was having with my vehicle. He said no problem but he would put it in diagnostic machine anyway once he received the vehicle. Call him a week later and he goes on to tell me he rebuilt the transmission but the car had other issues. Issues he never bothered calling me and consulting with me about repairing, said issues. He instead ordered parts he claim to need and allegedly fixed it. I called again on November 18,2015. He said he having a hard time finding out what's wrong with the vehicle and give him til that Friday, the 20th it should be ready. Called that Friday and vehicle still wasn't ready. He said possibly next day the November 21,2015. Vehicle still was not ready end of business day. Called on Monday November 23,2015 owner of business who goes by [redacted] said " your car is ready. My son in law took me to place of business and I picked my vehicle up. I drove car to Newark from Jersey City and noticed car still not shifting. I was upset and disappointed. A friend recommended I take car to another mechanic for opinion. Took car to another mechanic and he test drove it and said transmission is slipping you need to take it back. He checked car and noticed parts underneath that didn't belong and there was transmission fluid leaking also. On November 30, 2015 I called [redacted] and informed him of car still having issues and he said bring it back. Took vehicle back December 1,2105 and was called on December 4, 2015 to pick vehicle up it was ready. At approximately 2:00 that day I picked my car up and drive once again from jersey city New Jersey to Newark NJ and by 3:30 I was on the side of the road with vehicle inoperable. Transmission wouldn't shift from first gear so car started smoking n fumes were very strong. I had to pull over on sidewalk and wait for a ride. I called the shop informed them what happened and they sent tow truck. Dec.5,2015 [redacted] says car fine see no problemDesired Settlement: Return monies I paid for repair. Take vehicle to another place to be repaired correctly. Beginning to believe this place doesn't possess the skills to repair my car. Causing great hardship each day I don't have possession of my car. I paid $1,450 and I stil can't drive my car
