Amador Stage Lines Reviews (1)

Review: I was sitting at the light on Fair Oaks Blvd. in the #1 lane waiting for my light to turn green. The left turn lane (#2) began to move on the green light. Several cars passed and then the Amador bus began to pass very closely, as it made the left turn onto Howe Ave. the tail-swing side swiped my driver side mirror, knocking it off, which dented the driver's door, front left fender and damaged the paint to the same areas. The car behind the bus motioned to me as he followed the bus through the light and pulled it over on Howe Ave. near Sierra Ave.My light turned green, I proceeded through the intersection and made a u-turn onto frontage road along Fair Oaks and made a right turn onto Howe Ave. The witness was out of his vehicle speaking to the bus driver and motioned to me as I pulled alongside the stopped bus. There was heavy traffic on Howe at the time so I pulled in front on bus and made a right turn on Sierra Ave. to park and walk back to the bus to exchange information. The witness smiled and waved and got back into his vehicle and left the scene. As I walked back to the bus it drove off onto Howe Ave. into traffic. I tried to follow the bus and called 911 (6:37pm) to report that the bus driver was not stopping his vehicle after being in an accident. I was directed by CHP to stop my vehicle & wait for an officer as I had enough information to identify the bus driver. I went to the Amador Bus office the next morning (6/26) to report and speak to a responsible party. I was basically told by their "safety manager" that people say they are hit all the time by their busses and that the bus driver had not reported the accident so they were unaware and could not help me. I left a message for the manager ([redacted]) to return my call. I called the next morning again requesting a response and left another message for the manager to call. My complaints: 1) their employee caused damage to my car ($1200), was aware and kept driving. This is a hit & run accident. 2) No response from company.Desired Settlement: This has been reported to insurance, DMV, 911/CHP, and now Revdex.comI want the company to respond one way or another. This was an accident; however, the lack of response is unprofessional. Ideally they will accept liability for their driver, pay for the damage caused, and terminate their employee as he does not follow basic California traffic safety laws and is a public hazard. As a commercial driver, he should have an even greater responsibility to obey traffic laws in the interest of public safety

Response:

We received this complaint from the Revdex.com dated 7/2/14. We gave the information to our insurance company for handling. I now have called the insurance company to make sure they call Ms. [redacted] ASAP.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am currently in the process of leaving messages for their claims adjuster to see what their action/resolution will be. There was still no apology or explanation for a commercial driver leaving the scene of an accident. I appreciate the fact that they are at least communicating with me in hopes of resolving the issue.. Thanks, [redacted]
