I purchased an Amana refrigerator from Menards on black Friday. It was delivered on Nov 30, 2015. January 8th, 2016 we noticed ice was melting through the water dispenser and food was beginning to thaw. We called Amana and they sent someone from Diamond Repair in January the 9th so that was great. The repairman came and said he needed to order a part and that was not going to happen until Jan 13th. The 13th came and no part until 6pm and the office was closed. When I called Diamond repair in the morning, they couldn't get someone to the house until Jan 16. When the repairman came, the part from Amana was wrong in the correct packaging so the fridge was unable to get repaired and another part had to get ordered. He set up the next repair for Wednesday Jan 20th. Got a call today (Jan 19) the part will not be in until the end of the week. On Saturday, I had called Menards to see if they could swap out this fridge for a new one and Amana said no, because there have not been 3 service calls in 12 months and the fridge hasn't been called defective. Customer service is terrible, no one is willing to help fix this situation or give us any answers. No response to email written after I complained on their Amana Facebook page. This is unacceptable. My family of 5 needs a working fridge and this brand new fridge should not have broken down this quickly and I don't understand why Amana isn't doing everything they can to fix this issue. They are great at apologizing but they don't offer any assistance.
