I recently received your letter regarding a complaint regarding the wedding of
[redacted]. I was booked on August 24, 2014 for her wedding which was set...

for
June 29, 2013. An engagement session was booked and they also chose the
location. All images were then edited and viewable online via my website. I was then
contacted by [redacted]’s mother, [redacted], she informed me that [redacted]
is very self conscience about her complexion and asked if I could do extensive
touchups to [redacted]’s face. I made all corrections as asked and delivered the
selected images to [redacted]. At the time I delivered the portrait CD I informed [redacted] that I was expecting another child but I was due before the wedding so it wouldn’t
interfere. On April 29, 2013 [redacted] contacted me via email to see if I had received the
new wedding and reception locations and also the new times. Originally when the
wedding was booked it was to be an outside location but after [redacted] booking her
wedding with me she decided to change her location. I responded to [redacted] that day
asking for her to please send me all information that was needing changed so that I
could make sure the corrections were made. On April30, 2013 [redacted] again replied to
me stating the new changes. I had contact with [redacted] again on May 2,2013, June 10,
2013, June 11, 2013, and Aug 4, 2013. I sent [redacted] a CD containing the wedding
images and also had verification from the distributor regarding her album. I was
informed from [redacted] that there were some images missing from the cd. I had a child
sick in the hospital and was unable to ship those to her in a prompt manner so I did
offer a $100 credit. I have since shipped the few remaining images (roughly 20
images) and ordered a second album which is to be delivered any day.
If you have additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. I can be
reached at [redacted].
Best Regards,
[redacted]

Review: [redacted] was the photographer for my wedding. I was very optimistic when lots of people recommended her & when I met her in person everything "seemed great." For our engagement pictures we got them taken in October & were told to get on her website & order. However she did no editing on them. That was a big problem for me because I'm very self conscience about my acne. After discussing them & her saying she would fix them we ordered & received them in February giving us just enough time to use them for pre-wedding things. Leading up to the wedding was very stressful because after all the engagement picture issues I wasn't sure if she would even show at the wedding. We had no communication with her & somehow found out she was pregnant & would be due around our wedding & didn't know if she was trying to hide that or what but some communication & explanation would have been nice. She actually did show to the wedding & I was SHOCKED. She did a fantastic job & when she was leaving she told me normally she would tell people everything would be done/ready in 6 weeks but because she was no longer continuing with her business she was just finishing with the contracts she had we should get ours even sooner. YA RIGHT! Our wedding was June 29th 2013 and we still don't have everything. She has no phone number to contact her by, no website anymore, business is closed we can sometimes with much effort on our part contact her by email. She sent us disks with wedding pictures but nothing from reception. She also was supposed to do an album which she claims has been "in the mail" for months. She also "felt bad" for taking so long in September & said she would give us a $100 print credit. I am so disappointed that 8 months after my wedding people are asking to see my wedding pictures & I have nothing to really show them. She has pretty much ruined the experience of my wedding for me since all I did was worry about her. Now I am still trying to contact her and get nowhere so I am done being nice.Desired Settlement: Most people I talk to say we deserve the $700 we paid her back. To be honest I don't want that. I don't even want the $100 print credit she promised. I just want the rest of the pictures on disks& the album. Those are the things we paid for & signed in the contract for that she has yet to deliver on. I have pictures from my reception with my 99 year old great gram. How many more pictures do you think I'm going to get with her? I just want what I deserve so I can forget [redacted] even exists

Our last name is spelled incorrectly on the album that I recieved. Had she got it all done in a timely fashion she probably wouldn't have forgotten our name. Also I don't understand what the big deal was with editing photos because she claimed she had software that would make a dreary day look beautiful and sunny so what is so hard about retouching a little acne. Likewise yes we did change location and time of our wedding but that wasn't set in stone and she told us as long as it was still in Franklin it was no problem and it still was. She was correct in that we tried to keep in contact with her and be in the loop of what was going on. She never mentioned that she had a sick child. All we knew is that we would told a time frame of six weeks to get everything not nine months. It's not like we are heartless selfish people we would have understood. In one of the last messages my mom sent to her she included my husbands phone number so that she could contact us and she NEVER tried. Quite frankly none of those details matter to me other than the album being wrong. I would like to send back the album that doesn't mean anything to us since our name isn't right and get one with our name spelled correctly.
