I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as the refund check arrives as promised Regards, [redacted] ***

Ms*** initially scheduled a service call for an issue she was having with her gas stoveThe service call was scheduled for February 6th, At that time, she was informed that our service call fee is $plus taxIf needed, there could be a charge for any additional parts needed to
fix her stovePrior to the scheduled service call, Ms *** requested that we also repair the gasket on a wood stove in her homeThe procedure for charges on a 2nd stove is 50% off the service call for the second stove, or a diagnostic fee which would be $plus tax and parts if necessaryThe decision of the charges is left up to the service technician. As per the usual procedure for a 2nd stove, the technician chose to charge the diagnostic fee for the gasketing of the 2nd stoveThe total of the service call, and diagnostic fee with a tube of gasket cement ($with taxThe unused portion was left with the customer) was $368.18, and was paid by check without question upon completion of the jobLater on, they called our office to inquire about the charges and request a refundWe explained the basis of the charges and the call was endedOnce the service technician was back from his service calls, we discussed the charges with him and agreed that we could refund Ms*** the diagnostic fee of $plus taxThough it is our standard practice, it was quite possibly unclear to the customerOn February 6, we called and left Ms*** a message stating that we would be issuing a refund check the following weekChecks are cut on Tuesdays, and normally mailed out the same day. I confirmed with the accounts payable department today, and a check payable to Ms*** is scheduled to be cut and mailed out tomorrow as promisedMs*** should be receiving her refund check later this weekSincerely, Clifton LRetail Manager
