The customer called (over the phone) to order a cake on MAY 31, 2016 to be picked up on Friday June 3, 2016. We were happy to accommodated her on a short notice. When she picked up the cake she was happy with the decoration and how the cake...

She then called us 6 days later on Thursday June 9th in the late afternoon to say that she just wanted to let us know that she was not happy with the cake and she wanted to know if we wanted her to bring it back. We told her thank you for her feed back and because it was 6 days since she pick up the cake there was no need for her to bring it back. If she indicated that she was looking for store credit or something, it was misunderstood. We understood her to say she was just wanting to inform us. We are truly sorry for the miscommunication.
Therefore, we would be happy to give her an in-store credit of [redacted] to be used within the next 3 months.

I do not agree with Beck's Crown Bakery response. NEVER once did I say I expected their cake to taste like another bakery, who would ever think that? But I did expect it to be edible. That's the only response they could come up with for producing a terrible cake and their response had nothing to do with what I claimed. Sad. Why didn't they have me bring it back and they could taste it for themselves if they stood by their products and have a good reputation? Instead they chose to avoid and ignore me, great reputation! There were close to 30 people at my party and as the cake got passed around and tried, everyone said it was horrible, including myself. If it was a good product, someone at the party would have eaten it? I tried to keep the cake to take it back to them to try for themselves, but as I stated they would not respond to me. How would they know they sold me a good cake if they never tried it? People make mistakes and possibly that was the problem here, but they would never know, they are resting on their "very good" reputation. I was in Sales for 27 years, if I sold someone something bad I definitely investigated what was wrong and how to fix it. With their lack of interest in my problem with their product, I had to throw the cake and my [redacted] away, I have pictures of it in my dumpster with only a couple slices out of it. I offered the pictures up once the cake was thrown away.
They say they are offering an in-store credit, but I doubt that will ever come to fruition. If they did it, I will be happy to accept it and donate it to my church or somewhere. I don't get why they couldn't do that to begin with if they have such a great reputation? They are only responding to me because of Revdex.com. So thank you Revdex.com,. There is nothing more they can do for me, so yes I accept their response, as lame as it is, I've just learned and hopefully others will too, they do not accept complaints, they ignore them.
