Three friends and myself with our three daughters took a pottery wheel class on January 2, 2020 at 7pm. Our pieces would be ready in 2-3 weeks for pick up. After 3 weeks time, I called on Friday January 24 (3weeks) later and inquired about our pottery. Was told they are not ready. Would be put in kiln that weekend. Called again on January 28 after not receiving an email or call. Still not ready for pickup! Received an email on Jan 30 saying they were ready. I made a special trip in (45mins) away to pick up on February 1 to find that the pottery was not ready yet! I sent an email after stating my disappointment with the service. No reply. Sent another email 2 days later asking for a return of my money. Received email stating again not ready but will email once done. I then stopped by the studio on February 6, pottery not ready and not willing to refund my money. Asked to speak to ***. She was not in but to call back later that afternoon. I did, and girl who answered phone was speaking with *** as I was waiting( I could hear their conversation) did not want to speak to me. I tried again in an hours time, again did not want to speak to me. Tried again for the third time where I spoke with ***, and explained the situation. She refused to refund my money and was very rude to me on the phone and hung up the phone on our conversation. I sent one last email the day later asking for my refund for lack of service - I spent my money to not receive my product over 5 weeks wait. No response!
I simply just want my money back. Worse experience!

Thank you for taking the time to review responses.

The customer in question had organized a private pottery wheel party for family and friends. A few days before their class one of our owners and the life partner of our owner passed away unexpectedly. Payment for the class was not made prior to. 1/3 of the payment for the experience was paid after. On our website it states pieces are USUALLY ready within 2-3 weeks. But during this time having the passing of a key member of our team as well as kiln breakdowns (which would have been fixed had our owner still been alive) pieces have taken longer than expected. We never promise a time frame for students, wholesale clients or potters firing their own work in the community. Many things can go wrong throughout the process of firing handmade pottery so we never promise a set date.

Their pieces are complete and ready for pickup. Due to the *** and insensitive nature of this customer they have been offered a refund via phone (as to not come into our studio again) or they can collect their pieces at full price. It was stated by the customer in a previous email that they enjoyed their experience. Although our instructor did mention that their attitude was nothing short of rude during the class.

We hope this customer can find peace for themselves and that they are treated with more understanding and care whenever a family member passes.
