Review: I took 8 (6 button down shirts, 2 pants) items of clothes to the dry cleaners and they only gave me 5 items back. They damaged my shirt after ink from a pin was steamed into it. They refuse to pay for the damages of the shirt and deny any loss of the 3 items. They refuse to reimburse me for me for damages.Desired Settlement: I would like the damaged and lost items to be replaced and refunded.

On September 09, 2013 the customer dropped of: three laundry shirts, two pairs of slacks and one jacket for cleaning. The customer also asked to have some sewing done on the jacket as well. The customer forgot a pen in one of his shirt’s pocket which consequently damaged the shirt. Thu: customer came to pick up the clothes on September 20. We explained what happened, the customer was very understanding and he felt that he didn’t have to pay for his clothes. We did not object to that.

On that same day, September 20th, the customer also dropped off four more shirts and one additional pair of pants. Days later, the customer insisted he was missing shirts from this order. The ticket for this order clearly said total of five items. On September 20th, the customer came back with his mother and she said when picking up this order that these were the shirts they were looking for. And AGAIN, they left without paying.

After the customer submitted this complaint on September 25th, the customer came back to this premise and dropped off nine pieces for cleaning (order number [redacted]) on October 14th.
Amax Cleaners feel that the damaged shirt was already compensated by not receiving payment for two orders of dry cleanings. If the customer did in fact dropped off six shirts and not four shirts, we would not have a problem of replacing the two shirts. However, the ticket did show only four shirts were dropped off on that specific day. Amax Cleaners does not want any animosity with the customer. Amax Cleaners value his business and his clothes and he is more than welcome to use our services anytime.
