This company is full of lies and storiesFirst off it is my choice where I leave my belongings My belongings were safe and secure before the car was put in the possession of Alford Motors, that's when my items were STOLEN!!!!! This car form the time I leased it until it was repossessed has never had an alarm system, I'm sure this can be proven by just checking it's paperwork So either this statement by *** is a flat out lie or the car was indeed opened before *** got there and an alarm was installed I do not know which is the case because I was refused my legal right to inspect the vehicle after Alford Motors received it, yet another example of bad business practice. When I went to retrieve my belongings they were sitting in the back of a pick up truck where there was no supervision of who touched or went through my items I was showed to the truck by *** who said here's your stuff and immediately walked away before I could go through the items The only reason someone would act in such a manner, besides the fact that this business has EXTREME poor customer service is because he knew there were things missing Instead of trying to assist with the discrepancy, the first thing out of this mouth was file a police report......Why??? Because it seems that he was already coached on what to say before we arrived They returned everything BUT the two times of value, is this a coincidence....I HIGHLY doubt it.I did call the head bosses and received nothing but rude answers and no helpWhat type of company suggests filing through insurance before they even investigate from their end.....CROOKS!!!!!!!!! I feel like I'm basically being called a liar Why would I go through all of this and file a police report for stolen property just to be lying I would not be fighting for my belongings for two weeks if there wasn't something of extreme value The liars are the ones who made excuse after excuse for why they I couldn't retrieve my belongings I now realize this is because they were trying to get away with stealing it. I can't blame *** too much because I honestly think the wool is being pulled over his eyes of his untrustworthy associates, specifically *** I do however feel like there is more *** can do to resolve the issue, even if it doesn't result in my items being returned Instead of trying different things *** showed poor customer service by telling me how much I cost him with the car and how I'm making too big of a deal out of this matter I basically feel like they're saying I costed them money as a loss of payments so my items being missing is what I deserve to happen.*** himself mentioned that he's had people "claim" items were missing out of their reposessed cars in the past, so why has something never been done????? *** was so adamant about mentioning all of his cameras around his property, so why doesn't he use them All it would take to resolve this issue is to watch the tapes from when the car arrived to who all entered it and where it had been I GUARANTEE if this is done *** will be very shocked at the type of employees he has.I've mentioned all along that these items are irreplaceable I'm not asking for cash or replacement I only want my items, but since I know know the lack of integrity of this company I'm sure this won't happen Other customers need to know.....I knew the business sold bad cars but never would have imagined in a thousand that they'd steal from customers People like myself depend on ratings by the Revdex.com when buying items and doing business with companies and the A+ rating for Alford Motors is beyond extremely misleading This rating needs to be changed and my complaint needs to be posted to avoid such occurrences from happening to other unexpected consumers This company also needs to be investigated by the proper legal officials for it's unethical business practices and I intend to do whatever possible to make sure something is done if my issue is not resolved

We never want a customer to have a car problem. We also never want to have a customer go into
repossession.Unfortunately Ms*** was very past due on her car
payments. Ms*** also had a major
car problem. We offered to install a
used engine in her car if she came up with $400.She stopped making payments and did not bring in the
$400. The last payment we received was
on February 9th This is a situation where everyone loses. We loss a customer, customer loses the car.We offered to help and have mechanics to keep our customers
on the road. If Ms*** would have
kept making payments we would have bent over backwards trying to work something
out.Ms*** also did not inform us of her new mailing
address. We can not assume that if we
tow a car from an address that is their new mailing addressAfter having no
action from Ms*** (no payments and she didn’t bring in any repair money)
we mailed her a certified letter with our intentions. We wish she would have made a payment at the minimum and
avoided this situationAgain we sorry this ended like this where no one is happy.Sincerely,*** ***

Since the filing of my complaint the Alford Motors has taken positive affirmative steps to resolve my complaint and I consider my complaint resolved

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I had kept Alford Motors informed of my personal situation throughout the entire period prior to the repossession of my car. When I took my car for repairs on March 17th I told them that I needed the car fixed so that I could go to work. Without a working car I could not work as such I could not earn any income to make my payments. I was never told that I would be in jeopardy of losing my car and all the contents inside the vehicle. Alford Motors response regarding the March 17th letter that it sent to an incorrect address since this is the same date I took my car to Alford Motors for repairs. It could have and should have hand delivered its letter to me at that time rather than deceive me at that time. The purchase/loan agreement does not contain language regarding repossession due to payment issues. The business and I have always communicated during my troubling times and even accepted my cash payment in March. Alford Motors’ response is extremely disingenuous.
