Ms*** came into the shop on Friday, November 28, She requested the records for work performed on her Isuzu TrooperI asked her if there was an issue and she said she was having someone take a look at something else on the vehicle and he told her the valve cover gaskets were
leakingShe said she had noticed that but thought it wasn't much to worry aboutShe asked if the valve cover gaskets had any warrantyI called our supplier and asked about any warranty and they stated they did not have a manufacturer warrantyI told her our warranty was year on labor (our invoice states day parts/labor warranty on parts purchased and installed by us)The total on the valve cover replacement job was $ The other $included was for a separate repair that Ms*** said nothing about and apparently had no complaints with The repairs were completed in June of This was this first time she had brought this matter to our attentionI told her to bring the vehicle by and let us check it out to see if it was something minor or if it was maybe something elseThe repairs were over 1/years old and could have possibly worked some valve cover bolts looseShe left with another female and said not to worry about it She also asked to have a copy of repairs done to her FocusShe said she had traded it for another vehicle since no one could get it fixedMs*** had stated she had some other people look at the vehicle and they could not figure out what was wrongMs*** brought in her Ford Focus on February 7, for a hard start, rough idle, and loss of power We ran diagnostic and found the catalytic converter was stopped up The converter was coming apart and making noise Advised Ms*** that the converter would have to be replaced first because it affected the performance of the vehicle before any other diagnostic could be done We replaced the converter and still had some issues We ran several diagnostics (fuel pressure idle & driving - ok, removed fuel rail and checked for excessive water - ok, removed fuel injectors- screens clear and pulsing normal, checked compression - ok) The next step was to check the timing Advised customer the possibility of the timing belt damaging engine Customer declined further diagnosis Customer was kept abreast on all actions and diagnosis and was approved by her before any work was completed Total on work performed for the Focus was $ On Saturday, November 29, I received a call stating that *** *** had gone to *** and started a conversation about Twin County Tire and was filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.I feel that Twin County Tire has done nothing to take advantage of or discriminate against Ms*** in either instance Both repairs were completed and Ms*** did not show any signs of concern or discontent at time of delivery The valve cover repair had been over 1/years since completion and Ms*** did not one time call or come by for us to check any concerns related to this vehicle The offer was made to her for us to check out the concern to which she declined I do believe her approach in going to social media (***) to try and validate her claim was uncalled for and disparaging toward Twin County Tire I feel we have done nothing to warrant any investigation and the matter should be considered resolved If you have any questions, please feel free to contact *** *** @ ###-###-#### Thank you for your assistance in this matter
