Review: To whom it may concern,My name is [redacted]. I had recently purchased a wedding gown on February [redacted], 2014, and was referred to Seamstress, [redacted], as a vendor that could possibly make alterations to the dress. On March [redacted], the dress was sent to her establishment by the vendors who had sold the dress. I am reaching out to you to express my concerns regarding [redacted] unethical and unprofessional conduct. On March [redacted] 2014, I met with [redacted] at her shop. We discussed pricing for the alterations, which she had initially listed at $800. Though [redacted] had offered to reduce the price to $700, she also had also encouraged me to shop around before making a final decision with her. In addition, [redacted] had offered the option of leaving the dress at her shop until after Easter, wherein she would take measurements and begin the alterations if I had decided to move forward with her. This seemed ideal because I did not want to carry the dress and risk damaging or soiling it. I had called [redacted], first on April [redacted] to revisit a discussion about the alterations, and later on April [redacted] to let her know that I had not made any decisions yet. I made a final call on April [redacted] to cancel the alterations until further notice. Upon telling [redacted] that I wanted to pick up the dress, she stated that she had released the dress, indicating that it had already been taken apart for alterations. [redacted] had also stated that she would not give back the dress unless I paid her $200.00 for work that she had already completed. Upon calling [redacted] on this past Monday, she had rudely stated that I needed to pay her $200.00 if I wanted my dress back, and had abruptly hung up the phone.Desired Settlement: . Here are the issues:There was neither a contract nor invoice stipulating the terms of any business transaction[redacted] had never mentioned that there would be a 200 dollar fee for any of our transactionsI never authorized [redacted] to take apart my dress [redacted] never took measurements in preparation for alterations[redacted] conduct is apparently unethical and unbecoming of best business practicePlease help me to get my dress back from [redacted]. Thank you in advance for any supp
