Review: My wife and I purchased [redacted] floor VIP level tickets for $800 each for the New Year's Eve party at AMC Theaters 25 from 7:30 until 1 a.m. The tickets were advertised as providing full access to a buffet of food available throughout the evening, open bar, party favors, and that everyone on that floor would have a view of the ball, and for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of watching the ball drop at the biggest New Years Eve party in the world. When we arrived, our table was located two feet from the dual speakers, which blasted music so loud the other patrons at the table were unable to carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to them. Meanwhile, there were dozens of square feet of unused open space near the back wall suitable for locating a table without obstruct ingress/egress routes. My wife and another guest twice asked the staff to move the table, but both requests were greeted with theres nothing we can do about that. Eventually, one of the other patrons at our table tracked down the [redacted], who acquiesced and moved the table to the aforementioned open space. Our reasonable requests should not have been met with initial of resistance of theres nothing we can do about that.It took an hour of standing in line to get food, after which there was no more food available, which was at approximately 9:30 p.m. The staff did not replace the food, or communicate any type of resolution, but rather ignored the situation.As stated earlier, the view was described as so close you feel you can touch the ball. Upon inspection of the terrace after arrival, we learned that barely 15 percent of the balcony had any view of the ball. Whatever view available was significantly obstructed by metal I-beams on the roof.Lastly, there was not an emcee to announce when the ball drop was approaching, or any connection to the actual ball drop. The experience was nothing like advertised, and there was no customer service provided.Desired Settlement: We acknowledge we received some value (shelter, warmth and alcohol), so we are requesting a refund of $1,200 total ($600 per ticket).
