I don’t think they need any stars. They are very disrespectful and they steal money from you claiming you committed fraud just to close your account. Small businesses is not good to bank here, I got my EIDL loan from the SBA and they said they wasn’t going to give me my funds because they are closing my account without telling me why.
The manager was talking to me like I was on the street very unprofessional about the situation. They are also going to be sued for racial discrimination and the manager is also black. She claimed she wasn’t going to sign for my loan because there has been a lot of fraud from black customers. So that’s discrimination and she had no reason to take my SBA loan from me. It enough I had to go through all the avenues to get the long to go there and get my loan taken for no reason at all. To sum up all this don’t do any banking with these unprofessional people. They try to play you and take your money. They can’t event meet their quarter this is why they take. Don’t bank with these guess. I will when my law suit against them. Racial and sexual assault and I’m a man lol. So sad

We have resolved the issue with our client

Worst Bank Ever, customer service is the worts. First time in over 20 years that I was not able make a payment due to the negligence of the bank. Tried to resolve an issue that is their fault for more than 5 days. Customer services takes more than 2o minutes to answer to not be able to resolve anything. I do not recommend this bank, I will be closing the account with this bank ASAP.

This bank is not friendly to small businesses---We should know as we have used their services for a decade and have had problems the ENTIRE time. We will be moving our business to another bank that actually works with their customers. My advice if you are a small business is that there are plenty other banks that are far better in service, transactions and fee schedules than Amegy. We haven't moved because when you are a business it is a complete hassle to have to switch your accounts but after a decade we can no longer overlook the service issues at Amegy and it is now worth the complete hassle to us to close our account because we are simply too tired to continue to have to jump through their loops only to still end up with bad service. And it's not even like they have the best fee schedule and their app to deposit checks online is a joke! Half the time I still have to drive to the bank to do the deposit because their software "can't process the deposit". My advice--don't even start an account with them in the first place unless you plan on being treated like the bottom of your shoe and hung when calling about your own account-- LOOK ELSEWHERE!

We have resolved this issue and consider it closed at this time

Never bank here. I have been with Amegy bank since it opened but just in the last year, seems like this bank has gone to the dog's. Bank making mistakes with my account and not getting notified, ATM taking my money. Etc. I'm fed up

Customer was in contact with the account servicing branch

I’ve had a number of issues since using this bank for a smaller, secondary business account, including two occasions where they lost deposits I made (I had to go in with my receipt to resolve, and on the second occasion, was told I might have to wait 14 days for their “risk management” department to review it. In decades of banking, I never before had a bank lose a teller deposit, let alone twice.
Enter my recent issues utilizing the Venmo system. I’ve deposited money into the account with Venmo, had it appear in my available balance (not just in the main balance), used the money, and then received overdraft fees. Upon further discussion with the bank, I was told customers always need to call and speak to a banker before assuming that available balance money is actually available after a Venmo deposit. What? Your system says it’s cleared but I’m not supposed to trust that...this is a ridiculous system. I never have this issue with our primary business account and have used Venmo to deposit and then withdraw significantly larger sums.
All of their dealings appear to be efforts to keep money in their system and away from customers, or to trick clients into over-drafting. Very dissatisfied.

We have contacted our customer, discussed and resolved the issues.

II moved to Amegy from *** recently had a payment come out of my account for an installment loan that we had paid off, and we forgot to cancel the auto-pay. That was our fault, however, the events that ensued were completely Amegy's fault, and that took ZERO efforts to rectify our mistake. More frustrating was everyone's attitude that I dealt with. I first called and explained the situation and the person said they could "reverse" the payments as it had not yet been processed that day and the funds would be returned to my account by end of day, that did not happen. When I called back to inquire, this time, they said they couldn't help me as my husband's online account initiated the auto-pay, so he would have to call (even though it was coming out of our joint account). I wasn't present on the call so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that he didn't explain the situation correctly, but instead of just helping him cancel the auto-pay, they put a stop payment to that institution. The correct answer should have been to just cancel the auto-pay, then contact the other institution to request a return of the over payment, however they didn't have the foresight to recommend this. Here comes the real issue- 2 weeks later, when my auto-pay for an interest free credit card from BofA comes out- I see that the payment has been returned, and I have received a return payment fee from BofA. I immediately call Amegy, and they tell me "someone called to put a stop payment on that transaction", but they can't give me any more information, and they have to escalate, and promise they will call back end of day. That doesn't happen. I call back the next day and they inform me there is a stop payment due to the previous issue, but they cannot explain how on earth that applies to a totally different payment account, and say they will remove it. I mention I would like for them to reimburse me for the fees I was charged as it was their mistake that the payment was blocked, to which they reply "we don't refund fees from other institutions, it's a policy". I ask them to further review so they can explain why this is happening, because it's very important for me to make the payment. Upon my THIRD follow up call, I finally speak with someone in their ACH department who explains when they placed the stop payment, they explained BofA was the "originator" of the payment to the other institution, so the stop payment applied to ALL payments through BofA. When I asked if they had explained this to my husband before placing the hold, they explained "we have no way of knowing who the originator is". So when I asked them how WE were supposed to know, they could not answer the question. And further reiterated they don't reimburse of the bank fees. So essentially, due to their incompetence in being able to inform their customers the details of the processes they are performing, it's just a bad shake if you don't guess right, and you have to take the financial hit for their inadequacy. I asked to further escalate to see if anyone could help rectify the issue, and they left me with the same response of "it's policy we don't reimburse for other institution fees". What is so upsetting about this is that my company has over $100m in cash investments with them, and I ASSURE you, if there was an issue with some type of transfer that incurred thousands of dollars of fees, they would have found a way to make it right. Moral of the story- I clearly don't have enough money in my accounts for them to worry about their mistakes causing me financial loss. I would have closed my account that day, however due to family ties to the institution I must bank their out of loyalty, however I would never recommend this bank for personal finances. Extremely poor customer service and no initiative to correct their own incompetence. So very disappointing.

Stay as far as you can from this banking institution! My husband and I have obtained many mortgage loans in the past from residential to commercial. So we have acquired some experience over the years. We applied to get a new commercial construction loan and the whole process seemed to be going well. The first issue that we had is that there was never a good faith statement presented to us and from this important document is where the whole transaction went south. The story with the down payment changed so many times from “you don’t need to bring a down payment to closing because you have enough equity” to “we change our mind we are going to need a down payment after you sell your current commercial property” then at the actual closing date to be asked for a couple of thousand. After a couple months passed since we closed to were asked for $150,000 in order to move forward with the construction project. After we received the first construction loan statement - I see a credit for over 8 thousand dollars and the loan officer in charge was not able to explain but later on I figured out myself. We were so frustrated with the loan officer that we decided to call the Bank directly, well no one was able to locate the account! So Amegy had to reconfigure the loan from a construction loan to just a land loan. We were presented with different options, we picked one and when we received the first invoice and the payment amount was overstated by one thousand dollars.

The branch manager and teller at the Richardson branch are beyond awful. I believe their names are Kelli and Amber. Very rude and the least bit helpful. I will never go back here. It baffles me that any bank would employee people that are so hateful.
