Ameri-scape workers planted a tree 6 inches to deep, there by killing it. They refuse to replace the tree.
Last spring I hired ameri scape to plant a hibiscus tree for me. After a couple months the tree died. There rep Javier came to the house and stated, his workers planted the tree to deep and it was suffocating the tree. He had them replant it correctly, stating it should come back to life in about a month. After 2 months it became apparent the tree was dead. They said since I did not buy the tree from them, they would not warranty it. It is my contention that it was there improper planting of the tree that caused the tree to die, therefore they are responsible for replacing it. There is no issue with the trees health. It only died because they planted it to deep.
I would like them to replant a similar sized hibiscus tree, at there expense. I do not feel I should have to buy another tree.
Mr. was contacted letting him know that we will be replacing his tree at no cost. However, It is company policy that we do not warranty any plant material / trees that are not provided by Ameriscape. This is written on every proposal and invoice that is provided to our clients before we do any work, this way they are aware. This is the reason Mr *** received our response originally. We appreciate each and every one of our clients, for this time as a courtesy we will be replacing his tree at no cost.

The company said they would replace the tree Jan. 14, 2019.
We wanted a tree removed; they sent Javier out the supervisor he gave us a quote of 300.00 to remove tree , remove ball, replace sod. He said he would do it for the same price as the others that were removed on our street so we told him that was fine. We filed the paperwork for architectural review and he also filled out his part, while we waited for approval he sent us an emailed proposal that included a 50.00 irrigation fee, never mentioned before and a 100.00 administration fee. I called and spoke to a supervisor I believe her name was Perle and she said the fee was a new fee they started charging on any job under 500.00. she also claimed Javier does so many estimates he can't remember what he tells everyone, however if you know a tree is going to be a small job why wouldn't you just say we don't do any job under 500.00 why even send out Javier. If you are sending out someone to give estimates they should be aware of the fee and make the customer aware at that time, basically Javier gave a verbal estimate and after work was agreed on he added additional fees. Tried to work it out with *** an owner of the company and was unsuccessful.

No settlement requested - for I would like this complaint to be seen by other potential customers so they know the poor business practices of this company.

Our response to Ms ***'s complaint:
Javier did mention this to the resident at the time of the verbal estimate. Our policy is to not do any work without an approved written estimate. The resident wanted us to remove the service charge. She demanded Javier first, then Perla and then myself. We tried to explain this to her but she said she did not care about our policy. I want to note that we never accepted any payment from her as we were not able to agree on the payment terms for the work.

I never demanded anything I requested that they honor their verbal agreement price. Perla mentioned to me that Javier does so many verbal estimates he can't remember what he quotes people so it's funny he remembers that he did tell us about the fee!( which he did not or we would never have agreed to the work) . What is the point of giving a verbal estimate if you also a week later present a written estimate with additional fees? Shouldn't a written estimate just be given at the time Javier comes to the owners home? We have had the work done but people should be aware they will be given 2 estimates and 2 different prices!
